    摘要: A flat display includes a front panel having a fluorescent screen on its rear side, a rear panel defining a flat space with the front panel, linear filament cathodes arranged close to the rear panel, and an address electrode plate having a multiplicity of apertures and disposed close to the front panel. The rear panel is formed on its inner surface with spacer ridges each extending on each side of each filament cathode therealong and having a height to reach the address electrode plate. The spacer ridges give the flat display improved strength against pressure.

    摘要: In a flat fluorescent lamp for serving as a back light of liquid crystal panels for use in display devices, upper and lower glass plates are respectively coated with fluorescent film on its inner surface and arranged in parallel to each other, a glass side wall is disposed along the peripheral edges of the upper and lower glass plates in order to form a hermetic discharge space between the upper and lower glass plates, a pair of discharge electrodes are arranged in parallel within the discharge space and opposed to each other, at least one reinforcing glass member having a height approximately equal to the distance between the upper and lower glass plates and for supporting the upper and lower glass plates is disposed between the electrodes, and the upper glass plate is formed at its inner surface with an uncoated portion having no fluorescent film at the position where the upper glass plate is opposed to the reinforcing glass member in contact therewith.

    摘要: The present invention provides a stereoscopic display comprising an indicator for teaching to a user the position where a stereoscopic image is viewed. The stereoscopic display for separating light beams from a left eye image and a right eye image which are displayed on a display panel into left image light beams and right image light beams and supplying the left image light beams and the right image light beams to a viewer comprises a light emitting unit composed of a green light emitting diode and a red light emitting diode and a barrier plate arranged in front of the light emitting unit on the side of the viewer and having a slit through which part of the light beams from the light emitting diode are passed toward the viewer. The light emitting unit and the barrier plate are so constructed that light beams incident on the right and left eyes through the slit are light beams from the light emitting diodes in the same color in a stereoscopic view position which is the position where a stereoscopic image is viewed, while being light beams from the light emitting diodes in different colors in a pseudo-stereoscopic view position.

    摘要: A flat cathode-ray tube has a tubular glass body comprising a tubular neck portion, a flat funnel portion, a flat box-shaped head portion, an electron gun housed in the neck portion, and a fluorescent screen at the head portion. At least the funnel portion is made entirely of a flat glass plate. A deflection yoke, mounted on the junction of the neck and funnel portions, comprises a core having at its funnel-side end an opening approximately rectangular with substantially straight upper and lower sides and gently outwardly bulging arcuate opposite lateral sides. The core's inner surface, defining an opening, is continuously reducing in size from the funnel side toward the neck portion conforming with the tapered shape of the funnel portion. The yoke further comprises a pair of vertical deflection coils wound around an upper and a lower portion of the core. A pair of horizontal deflection coils, each have horizontal portions extending at least along the opposite sides of the funnel portion. A front-end bridge portion extends from the horizontal portion approximately perpendicular thereto and is positioned on the upper or bottom surface of the funnel portion in a direction perpendicular to the electron beam. The horizontal deflection coils are arranged inside the core at opposite sides symmetrically with respect to a horizontal plane of passage of the beam. At least the horizontal deflection coils have their inner surfaces intimately contacted with the outer surface of the funnel portion.
