    摘要: The distance between filamentary cathodes and a phosphor on an anode substrate can be reduced by shortening the distance between the filamentary cathodes and a grid. To obtain high luminance without loss of display quality, the present invention provides a vacuum fluorescent display (1) with a driver IC, comprising a display unit (3) provided with a phosphor layer on an anode substrate (2), a plurality of filamentary cathodes (5), a grid (4), a driver IC (6), and a filament support (7) for shielding the IC and supporting an end part of the filamentary cathodes. The end part of the filamentary cathodes is fixed to one short side of the vacuum fluorescent display at a long side of the filament support. Depressions are provided to a surface of the filament support, or slits are provided to the filament support.

    摘要: A field emission device (10), in accordance with a preferred embodiment, includes an anode electrode (22), a cathode electrode (12), a gate electrode (16), a phosphor layer (23), and a number of electron emitters (13) formed on the cathode electrode. The anode electrode is opposite to and spaced from the cathode electrode. The phosphor layer is attached/formed on the anode electrode. The gate electrode (preferably in the form of a wire) is spatially positioned between the anode electrode and the cathode electrode. In addition, the gate electrode is correspondingly arranged relative to the phosphor layer. The electron emitters are distributed on surfaces of the cathode electrode at least adjacent to two sides of the gate electrode, thus promoting the ability of the emitted electrons to be guided by, yet not readily impinge on, the gate electrode on a path toward the phosphor layer.

    摘要: In an electron tube including vibration absorbers for linear members such as filaments, a vibration absorbing means that is made of a vibration absorber with a large vibration absorption effect, has a simple configuration, and is attachable easily to filaments is provided. The vibration absorbing means is formed of a holder 231, a vibration absorber 241, and a getter shielding member 251. These three members are attached to a shielding electrode S overlying the front substrate 111 to dispose the vibration absorber 241 between the holder 231 and getter shielding member 251. The vibration absorber 241 is mounted to slide or rotate between the holder 231 and the getter shielding member 251. The vibration absorber 241 has an aperture 2413 in which the filament is engaged. The bottom (apex) of the aperture 2413 is formed eccentrically. The vibration absorber 241 is in line contact with the shielding electrode S, as shown in FIG. 3(c).

    摘要: A vacuum fluorescent display includes a pair of substrates spaced apart from each other with a predetermined distance. The substrates form a vacuum cell by interposing a side glass. Filaments are mounted within the vacuum cell to emit thermal electrons under the application of voltage. Anode electrodes are formed at one of the substrates, each anode electrode unit having a conductive layer and a phosphor layer formed on the conductive layer. A control electrode surrounds the anode electrode to accelerate or intercept the thermal electrons emitted from the filaments. The control electrode is formed with a single-layered structure.

    摘要: A vacuum fluorescent display includes a vacuum tube with a pair of substrates, and a side glass disposed between the two substrates. Filaments are mounted within the vacuum tube to emit thermal electrons. A conductive layer is formed at one of the substrates with a predetermined pattern, and a phosphor layer is formed on the conductive layer. A rib grid is provided at the substrate with an insulating rib positioned around the conductive layer, and a control electrode is formed on the top surface of the insulating rib. Assuming that the distance between the top surface of the substrate and the top surface of the insulating rib is indicated by h1, and the distance between the top surface of the substrate and the top surface of the phosphor layer is indicated by h2, it is established that h1nullh2.
