摘要: A rechargeable dispensing system for dispensing a liquid product has a recharge container, a platform base, a locking mechanism, and a pump. The recharge container has a primary finish and a valve. The base has a receptacle for receiving the primary finish of the recharge container and a fluid connector located within the base and attached to the receptacle. The locking mechanism secures the recharge container to the base, wherein the valve is in a closed position when the locking mechanism is engaged and in an open position when the locking mechanism is disengaged. The pump is attached to the base in open communication with the recharge container along the fluid connector for dispensing the liquid product from the recharge container.

摘要: Disclosed herein are degradable sachets useful for enclosing a consumer product, such as, for example, shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothpaste, bar soap, and detergent. The sachets of the invention have a moisture vapor transmission rate (MVTR) of less than about ten grams per square meter per day (g/m2/day) at 37° C. and 90% relative humidity (RH), and can disintegrate into pieces sufficiently small to pass through a one millimeter sieve, within two years after first and continuous exposure to water and microorganisms.

摘要: A packaging system comprising a container, a first overcap, and a second overcap is provided. The first overcap is configured to be operatively engaged around the container. The second overcap is configured to be operatively engaged to the first overcap and defines an enclosure region. The enclosure region is configured to enclose a package, such as a sample package of roast and ground coffee. A method of delivering a sample food product is also provided and includes providing a packaging system; providing a first overcap and a second overcap, wherein the first overcap is operatively engaged to the container, wherein the second overcap is operatively engaged to the first overcap and defines an enclosure region; and providing a package of the sample food product within the enclosure region.

摘要: Disclosed herein are flexible barrier packages composed of materials that are substantially free of virgin, petroleum-based compounds. The flexible barrier packages contain a sealant that has a biobased content of at least about 85%. The sealant is laminated to an outer substrate that has a biobased content of at least about 95% via a tie layer that can further include an extruded substrate. The extruded substrate has a biobased content of at least about 85%. Ink optionally can be deposited on either side of the outer substrate, and the exterior surface of the outer substrate can further include a lacquer. A barrier material layer can be deposited or laminated between the first tie layer and the outer substrate. The flexible barrier packages of the invention are useful for enclosing a consumer product, such as, for example, food, drink, wipes, shampoo, conditioner, skin lotion, shave lotion, liquid soap, bar soap, toothpaste, and detergent.
