Abstract:
There is disclosed a non-electric portable manually operated misting fan assembly which is formed by a handle for allowing the user to grasp and manipulate the fan assembly, the handle formed by a container adapted to function as a reservoir for a supply of fluid and having an upper end which includes a pump assembly including a pump head extending upwardly therefrom for pumping fluid from the handle container through a fluid nozzle located in the pump head. The fan means are fixedly mounted on the handle and positioned above the pump head, the fan means bounded by an upper end and a lower end, the lower end being accurately formed over the pump head in order to allow the user to position his finger on the pump head to manipulate the pump in order to eject a fluid from the fluid reservoir incident to the fanning procedure.
Abstract:
Administered anticraving compositions are disclosed for treating patients addicted to alcohol comprising an effective amount of at least one alpha-pyrone compound formulated into a physiologically acceptable carrier medium. Additionally, a method of oral administration of the anticraving compounds is disclosed where an effective amount of at least one alpha-pyrone compound is formulated into a wine, beer or distilled spirit where the alcohol has been removed and replaced by one or more kavapyrones.
Abstract:
A device that can be easily and releasably fixed, moved, and reattached in any desired location on a boat; and provides for the easy attachment and securing of multiple ropes or other fastening means, at the same time, which are then attached to a single or multiple boat fender(s) or other floatation device(s) to facilitate the proper placement and location of the boat fender(s) or other floatation device(s) in relation to the boat, as needed, in that location.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the methods of treating periodontal disease and bone resorption in the maxilla or mandible comprising the inversion of the adjacent periosteum. The adjacent periosteum is inverted in an effort place the proper regenerative cells in the area of tissue loss in a mammal in need thereof with the goal of regenerating lost periodontium and alveolar bone.

In some embodiments, social matching includes determining one or more friends of a subscriber, in which the one or more friends of the subscriber are associated with the subscriber based on a social graph; notifying (e.g., pinging) a selected set of the one or more friends of the subscriber for input regarding selected matches for the subscriber, in which matches for the subscriber are generated by a matching engine performed by a processor; and displaying the input received from the selected set of the one or more friends of the subscriber.
Abstract:
A walking device, such as a walking stick, cane, or walker, includes an integral misting fan. The misting fan is coupled to a water reservoir formed into the walking stick. In addition, the misting fan comprises a battery operated an including two or more blades, and a pump assembly coupled to the water reservoir through a tube. The pump is adapted to draw water from the water reservoir through a tube into an atomizer, which is adapted to create a spray of mist through the fan blades. The misting fan can be formed into the handle of the walking device.
Abstract:
There is disclosed a portable fan device including atomizing means associated therewith, particularly adapted for cooling sunbathers. The device is formed by a base which is adapted to contain a source of fluid, an intermediate neck portion extending upwardly from the base and terminating in a head portion, the head portion carrying a fan and atomizing means associated therewith. The portable electrical means, such as a battery pack, are carried in the base, and electrically wired to the fan with a switch interposed in said circuit in order to permit the fan to be actuated to blow air. The atomizing means is positioned in the head portion immediately below the fan means and may be manually manipulated in order to create a mist which blows out immediately in the path of the fan. The subject fan device permits the user to actuate the fan and the atomizing means at any given time in order to create a misting cooling effect, especially in the environment of sunbathing.
