Abstract: Methods and systems for implementing Blockchain-based verifiable claims for use with assets in a physical world, such as Internet-of-Things (IoT) devices, are described. Verifiable claims are integrated with Root of Trust (RoT) technology, in a manner that allows verifiable claims to be linked with physical assets and a “proof” of provisioning of decentralized identity to be established. A system integrates Blockchain and IoT technologies, including Blockchain IoT device with hardware RoT implemented thereon. A validation process leverages RoT of the device to establish a decentralized “proof” of RoT on the Blockchain, which can then be used as a verifiable claim for the device. The validation process can also use the “proof” of RoT to further validate data obtained from the Blockchain IoT device, and to validate business logic allowing context based control of any subsequent transactions. Further, the validation process achieves automation with respect to trustability.

Disclosed system and methods integrate Blockchain and TEAP in a manner that does not require overhauling the authentication standard, or creating a completely new authorization framework or new TEAP mechanism.

Abstract: Some implementations of the disclosure are directed to: receiving an encrypted message from an entity, the encrypted message including a request to determine if a claimant of a distributed attestation is a holder of the distributed attestation; decrypting the encrypted message; using at least a public key of the entity to determine whether the entity is authorized to obtain information about the distributed attestation; and if the entity is authorized to obtain information about the distributed attestation, transmitting a response message to the entity indicating if the claimant of the distributed attestation is the holder of the distributed attestation. Authorization of the entity to obtain information about the distributed attestation may be based on role based access control rights to obtain information about the distributed attestation.

Abstract: Systems and methods described herein are directed to using a smart contract deployed on a distributed ledger network to prove compliance for handling of an asset over time and space. In some implementations, a system includes: one or more servers operating as nodes on a distributed ledger network; and a storage to store an instance of a smart contract. The one or more servers may be to: deploy the smart contract to the distributed ledger network; verify time series data captured by a device, where the verified time series data includes for each time a secured representation of a distributed ledger address; and send at least some of the verified time series data as an input to the smart contract. The smart contract, in response to receiving the at least some of the verified time series data, may execute to determine if one or more conditions have been satisfied.
