Abstract: Examples of sensor-based roaming issue identification in a wireless network are disclosed. In an example, a wireless roam for a sensor may be initiated from a source AP to a target AP. Management traffic between the sensor and one of the source AP or the target AP during the wireless roam may be monitored. In response to detecting an anomaly in the management traffic, the wireless roam for the sensor from the source AP to the target AP may be re-initiated. Management traffic capture on the sensor during the reinitiated wireless roam may be initiated. A roaming issue for the sensor may be identified based on analysis of the captured management traffic and the same may be reported.

Abstract: Examples of techniques for dynamically controlling data bursts are described. In an example, an access point (AP) monitors a link quality between the AP and a client device associated with the AP. The AP determines a channel occupancy of a channel in which the AP is configured to operate. In response to determining that the channel occupancy is less than a channel busy threshold, the AP modifies a burst duration for traffic flow between the AP and the client device based on the link quality. The AP communicates with the client device using the channel for the modified burst duration.

Abstract: Example implementations relate to connecting an IoT device to a wireless network using Device Provisioning Protocol (DPP). An authentication server receives a DPP network access authorization request including a connector identifier from an Access Point (AP) in communication with the IoT device. The connector identifier is a hash of the public network access key of the IoT device. If the connector identifier is valid, the authentication server determines a configurable policy from a set of configurable policies that is applicable to the IoT device. The authentication server transmits network permissions defined in the configurable policy to the AR The IoT device is connected to the wireless network by the AP based on the network permissions.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for optimizing channel bandwidth while increasing downlink multi-user, multiple-input, multiple-output (DL MU-MIMO) gain. Depending on the access point (AP) platform, for example, APs exhibit certain characteristics regarding DL MU-MIMO gain as a function of the number of DL MU-MIMO clients associated to the AP. Accordingly, APs can be configured to operate in accordance with an algorithm that checks the number of DL MU-MIMO capable clients are associated to an AP, and dynamically switch between single- and dual-radio modes of operation to take advantage of those DL MU-MIMO gains.
