    Abstract: A coil unit includes a coil and a core member. The coil receives AC electric power transmitted in a contactless manner from an electric power transmission apparatus. The core member is formed of a directional magnetic material in sheet form. The core member is arranged on a rearward side of the coil when seen from the electric power transmission apparatus when the electric power transmission apparatus and the coil face each other. An outer shape of each of the coil and the core member is a rectangular annular shape. An orientation direction of the core member and a direction along a winding direction of the coil are orthogonal to each other in straight line portions that face each other of the coil and the core member.

    Abstract: A contactless electric power transmission system includes an electric power reception device and a control device. The electric power reception device receives electric power transmitted in a contactless manner between the electric power reception device and an electric power transmission device. The control device sets, in a coupling zone in which a coupling degree between a primary side coil of the electric power transmission device and a secondary side coil of the electric power reception device is equal to or more than a predetermined degree, a communication zone in which the coupling degree is relatively small, and an electric power transmission zone in which the coupling degree is relatively large. The control device transmits information relating to electric power transmission in the electric power transmission zone from the electric power reception device to the electric power transmission device by communication between the electric power transmission device and the electric power reception device when the secondary side coil is present in a foremost communication zone of the coupling zone.

    Abstract: A contactless power transmission system includes a power transmitting unit, a power transmission power conversion unit, and a power transmission side control device. The power transmitting unit has a primary coil for sending out AC power to be transmitted to a power receiving device in a non-contact manner. The power transmission power conversion unit has a plurality of transistors connected to the primary coil. The power transmission power conversion unit converts a DC power supplied from a power source unit to an AC power. The power transmission side control device sets transmission power at a start period of initial power transmission by the power transmitting unit to less than a predetermined power. The power transmission side control device changes the transmission power in a tendency of increasing toward a predetermined power as a time elapses from a start of power transmission by the power transmitting unit.

    Abstract: A power control device includes a power receiving device, a second power converting device, and a control device. The power receiving device receives electric power transmitted from a power transmitting device in a non-contact manner and outputs DC electric power. The second power converting device includes an element module including transistors forming a pair in two phases and a pair of reactors that are magnetically coupled. The second power converting device outputs arbitrary DC electric power by converting the DC electric power output from the power receiving device. The control device controls a switching operation of the element module according to a duty ratio based on a second voltage at an optimal operating point of the DC electric power input from the power receiving device to the second power converting device and a first voltage of the DC electric power output from the second power converting device.

    Abstract: A power control device includes a power storage device, a rotating electric machine, a power receiving unit, and a control device. The rotating electric machine generates a travel driving force of a vehicle. The power receiving device has a power receiving unit and a power converting unit.     Abstract: A non-contact power transmission system includes an in-vehicle communication device, a power receiving device, and a control device. The in-vehicle communication device communicates with a roadside communication device placed around a traveling path of a vehicle. The power receiving device transfers and receives electric power transmitted in a non-contact manner between a power transmitting device and the power receiving device. The control device acquires key information through communication between the roadside communication device and the in-vehicle communication device before the vehicle reaches a power transmission section of the power transmitting device. The control device causes the power transmitting device to start power transmission in response to verification of the key information, by sending information having at least the key information to the power transmitting device, through communication between the power transmitting device and the power receiving device when the vehicle is present in the power transmission section.
