Abstract: The present disclosure relates to the field of EV-DWPT (electric vehicle dynamic wireless power transfer), and specifically discloses a double solenoid EV-DWPT system and a parameter optimization method thereof. The system is provided with a magnetic coupling mechanism, comprising a transmitting structure and a receiving structure. The transmitting structure includes a plurality of double solenoid transmitting rails arranged equidistantly along a road direction. Each double solenoid transmitting rail includes a square tubular magnetic core perpendicular to the road surface, and transmitting solenoids wound spirally using one and the same Litz wire wound in opposite directions. The present disclosure proposes a magnetic coupling mechanism with a double solenoid structure, provides a specific parameter optimization design method, completes the analysis of the system power transmission topology and the electrical parameter design, greatly reduces power fluctuations of the system rail switching domain, and improves the system's anti-offset capability.

Abstract: A partially magnetized pavement is placed above a transmitter coil for improved efficiency of electric vehicles charging through wireless power transfer. The partially magnetized pavement includes a non-magnetized pavement portion positioned vertically above the transmitter coil and a magnetized pavement portion positioned vertically above a first area surrounded by the inner dimension of the transmitter coil and a second area outside the outer dimension of the transmitter coil. In some cases, the partially magnetized pavement further includes a transmitter coil having the inner dimension and the outer dimension and a capacitor electrically coupled to the transmitter coil to form a resistor-inductor-capacitor circuit at a system level. Abstract: A multi-purpose detection circuit for object detection and vehicle position determination is described. For example, the circuit is configurable for detecting foreign metallic objects, living objects, and a vehicle or type of vehicle above an inductive wireless power transmitter. The circuit is also configurable for determining the vehicle's position relative to the inductive wireless power transmitter. An example apparatus includes a measurement circuit including a multiplexer, electrically connected to a plurality of inductive and capacitive sense circuits, for measuring one or more electrical characteristics in each of the inductive and capacitive sense circuits according to a predetermined time multiplexing scheme. The apparatus further includes a control and evaluation circuit for evaluating the measured electrical characteristics and determining at least one of a presence of a metallic object, a living object, a vehicle, or a type of vehicle, and a vehicle position based on changes in the measured electrical characteristics.
