Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for drawing an image of a procedure route. The method comprises retrieving a source data file containing flight path data formatted in accordance with an industry standard wherein the flight path data comprises a plurality of path data items and a plurality of terminator data items, the path data items and the terminator data items are arranged in pairs as a plurality of path and terminator data item pairs, and the path and terminator data item pairs have a specific order. The method further comprises converting each path and terminator data item pair in the source data file to one or more drawing commands comprising one or more of a point command, a line command, or a curve command. The method further comprises storing the drawing commands converted from the path and terminator data item pairs in a database file.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer program product provide for crowdsourcing data from a plurality of aircraft systems to determine cloud ceiling information. In the context of a method, the method receives a set of sensor data from a first aircraft system captured during a first event. The method determines, based on the set of sensor data, a cloud ceiling value for a location and a time at which the first set of sensor data was captured. The method also stores the cloud ceiling value in association with a landing region and causes transmission of the cloud ceiling value to one or more additional aircraft systems.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and computer program products are disclosed for determining a holding pattern. An example method includes receiving an estimated time of clearance and holding pattern instructions for an aircraft chartered for holding, receiving flight information and aircraft state information associated with the aircraft, deriving a holding time estimate from the estimated time of clearance, the flight information and aircraft state information, and computing holding pattern parameters placing the aircraft on a holding inbound segment prior to the estimated time of clearance based at least in part on the holding time estimate. The method further includes transmitting the holding pattern parameters to a computing device.
