Abstract:
A method and system are provided to generate aerodrome surface area node-link graphs. The terminal area network generator provided constructs terminal area networks from reliable terminal area node-links that do not require further manual processing. The exemplary embodiment is compatible with the AIRAC cycle.

Abstract:
A method for validating an operational flight path of an aircraft has been developed. First, a flight path for the aircraft is created using navigation, terrain and obstacle data retrieved from off-line databases. Next, real-time terrain and obstacle update information is captured from flight data sensors on board the aircraft while in flight. Also, light direction and range (LIDAR) data from LIDAR sensors on board the aircraft is collected. A boundary profile is calculated for the flight path based upon the real-time terrain and obstacle update information in combination with the LIDAR data. The flight path is validated using the boundary profile. The results of the validation of the flight path is generated as a report for the aircraft crew.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus are provided for drawing an image of a procedure route. The method comprises retrieving a source data file containing flight path data formatted in accordance with an industry standard wherein the flight path data comprises a plurality of path data items and a plurality of terminator data items, the path data items and the terminator data items are arranged in pairs as a plurality of path and terminator data item pairs, and the path and terminator data item pairs have a specific order. The method further comprises converting each path and terminator data item pair in the source data file to one or more drawing commands comprising one or more of a point command, a line command, or a curve command. The method further comprises storing the drawing commands converted from the path and terminator data item pairs in a database file.
