Abstract: A control plane network entity for providing a multicast/broadcast service for one or more user equipments in a cellular communication network is provided. The control plane network entity is configured to: receive a session setup request for a multicast/broadcast session for the user equipments, wherein the session setup request comprises one or more identifiers identifying the user equipments and/or one or more spatial regions the user equipments are located in; select one or more access and mobility management function entities of the cellular communication network based on the one or more identifiers for providing the multicast/broadcast session to the user equipments; and send a user plane session setup request to the selected one or more access and mobility management function entities. Moreover, the disclosure relates to a user plane network entity and a radio access network node for anchoring and providing a multicast/broadcast service respectively.

Abstract: This application discloses a communication method and a communications apparatus. The method includes: receiving, by a mobility management network element, a registration request message from a terminal, where the registration request message is used to request a vehicle-to-everything V2X configuration parameter for the terminal, and the V2X configuration parameter is used by the terminal to perform a V2X service; sending, by the mobility management network element, a parameter request message to a V2X parameter configuration network element based on the registration request message, where the parameter request message is used to request the V2X configuration parameter of the terminal from the V2X parameter configuration network element; and receiving, by the mobility management network element, the V2X configuration parameter from the V2X parameter configuration network element, and sending the V2X configuration parameter to the terminal. Use of this application helps improve security of the V2X service.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method and an apparatus (100) for improving a mobile network system, in particular a 4G or 5G system. The apparatus (100) is configured to support multiple Quality of Service (QoS) levels (101) for a session (102) related to an application (103) or a service. In particular, the apparatus (100) may comprise an Application Function, AF, (200) and a Policy Control Function, PCF, (201), wherein the AF (200) is configured to request (202) from the PCF (201) to configure the multiple QoS levels (101) for the session (102). Advantageously, the apparatus (100) may switch from a current QoS level (101) for the session (102) to another QoS level (101) for the session (102) in case of a modification of the session (102), in particular if one or more parameters of the session (102) are modified.
