    Abstract: The application discloses a data transmission method and a related apparatus. A first device receives a connection establishment request and a target data feature that are sent from an analysis device. The connection establishment request includes a first connection parameter of the analysis device. The first device determines, based on the target data feature, a second device that collects data corresponding to the target data feature. The first device and the second device belong to a same distributed system. The first device determines a second connection parameter of the second device; and sends the first connection parameter, the second connection parameter and the target data feature to the second device. The second device establishes a connection to the analysis device based on the first connection parameter and the second connection parameter, and transmits the data corresponding to the target data feature to the analysis device through the established connection.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a packet transmission method and an apparatus. A first network device receives, through an inter-system cascade port, a first packet sent by a second network device, and adds a first remote RMT identifier to the first packet to obtain a second packet; d the first network device determines, according to the first RMT identifier in the second packet and an attribute of a sending port for the second packet, whether there is a need to perform pruning processing on the second packet; and if the sending port for the second packet is a multi-homed port, the first network device performs pruning processing on the second packet; if the sending port for the second packet is a single-homed port, the first network device deletes the first RMT identifier in the second packet, and sends the first packet through the single-homed port.

    Abstract: A service traffic allocation method and apparatus, where first leaf node repeatedly sends a probe packet through each physical link of multiple physical links of the first leaf node coupled to a backbone node, for each physical link, the first leaf node receives a returned response packet through the physical link, where each response packet is returned by a second leaf node after a probe packet that is sent through a physical link arrives at the second leaf node, for each path, the first leaf node calculates a transmission parameter of the path according to multiple response packets received on the path to obtain the transmission parameter of each path, and the first leaf node allocates to-be-transmitted service traffic to the physical links according to the transmission parameter of each path.

    Abstract: A multicast forwarding entry generation method includes receiving a first multicast packet from a first border gateway. The method also includes generating a first multicast forwarding entry based on the first multicast packet. The first multicast forwarding entry includes an address of the first border gateway and information about a multicast source. The method further includes receiving a second multicast packet from a second border gateway. The second multicast packet includes an address of the second border gateway and the information about the multicast source. The method additionally includes determining a first path to the multicast source through the first border gateway and a second path to the multicast source through the second border gateway. The method also includes determining an optimal path to the multicast source based on the first path and the second path, and generating a forwarding entry of the multicast source based on the optimal path.

    Abstract: A method for synchronizing virtual machine location information between data center gateways, a gateway, and a system, where a second gateway of a second data center receives a first location update message from a first gateway of a first data center, where the first location update message notifies that location information of the first virtual machine is changed. The second gateway deletes, according to the first location update message, a media access control (MAC) route of the first virtual machine saved in the second gateway, and the second gateway learns, from the first virtual machine to obtain current location information of the first virtual machine when the second gateway receives a packet destined for the first virtual machine and the second gateway does not save the MAC route of the first virtual machine.
