Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and equipment for adaptively tracking a mobile terminal with millimetre wave radio link by establishing and/or maintaining a link between an access point or base station and a moving terminal where the method comprises changing the arrangement of the transmission directional beams of an access point or base station and the reception directional beams of a mobile terminal in a channel estimation process responsive to motion characteristics of the access point or base station transmitter or the mobile terminal receiver or both the access point or base station transmitter and the mobile terminal receiver. The invention further relates to a corresponding system and an access point or base station and a movable terminal provided with means for implementing the above method.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a user device, an access node device and a central network controller. The user device comprises a transceiver configured to synchronise with a radio communication network; said transceiver further being configured to broadcast a beacon signal comprising at least one reference signal to one or more access node devices of said radio communication network. The access node device comprises a transceiver configured to receive a broadcast beacon signal from a user device synchronised with said radio communication network; and further a processor configured to derive information from said received broadcast beacon signal and to use said derived information in a network procedure of said radio communication network. Abstract: An apparatus for assigning a plurality of access nodes of a wireless communication network to control areas includes a processing apparatus. The processing apparatus is configured to assign each access node in the plurality of access nodes to a control area of a plurality of control areas and to determine a first control phase. The first control phase is a period of time during which the assignment of access nodes to control areas remains constant. The processing apparatus is configured to, when changing from the first control phase to a following second control phase, reassign at least a subset of access nodes which were assigned during the first control phase to a first control area to a second control area and reassign at least a subset of access nodes which were assigned during the first control phase to a third control area to the first control area.
