Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a control method for a fuel cell. The control method includes: collecting, by a controller, state information of a fuel cell (FC) stack; determining, by the controller, a degradation state of the FC stack from the collected state information of the FC stack; correcting, by the controller, a basic threshold output corresponding to a present driving state of a vehicle on the basis of information of the determined degradation state of the FC stack; comparing, by the controller, a post-correction threshold output that is obtained by correcting the basic threshold output and a motor demand output, and determining, by the controller, stopping or restarting of a fuel cell; and controlling, by the controller, such that the determined stopping or restarting state of the fuel cell is achieved.

Abstract: A fuel cell system includes an air supply unit for supplying air containing oxygen to a fuel cell stack. A humidifier humidifies the supplied air. An air supply line is connected between a cathode inlet of the fuel cell stack and the humidifier to supply the humidified air to the fuel cell stack. A cathode-side exhaust line is connected between a cathode outlet of the fuel cell stack and the humidifier to supply a cathode exhaust gas discharged from a cathode of the fuel cell stack to the humidifier for humidification in the humidifier. A unified valve module includes a bypass line connected between the air supply line and the cathode-side exhaust line and an outward discharge port discharging the cathode exhaust gas to outside, and controls a gas flow between the humidifier and the fuel cell stack and between the bypass line and the outward discharge port.

Abstract: An apparatus and a method for controlling a fuel cell stack are provided to improve the performance (output) of the fuel cell stack that has suffered from deterioration. The performance is improved by adjusting a stoichiometric ratio (SR) of air supplied to the fuel cell stack and an operating temperature of the fuel cell stack based on the basis of an open-circuit decay time (ODT) indicating a time taken for a cell voltage to be reduced from a reference voltage to a threshold voltage when the supply of air to the fuel cell stack is cut off.

Abstract: A method for controlling startup of a fuel cell vehicle is provided. The method includes starting to adjust supply of hydrogen and air to a fuel cell and setting a control voltage of a side of a main bus end of a converter disposed between the main bus end and a high-voltage battery to a predetermined lowest control voltage. An output voltage of the side of the main bus end of the fuel cell and the control voltage of the side of the main bus end of the converter are then compared to adjust an amount of air supply to the fuel cell based on the comparison.

Abstract: A constant voltage control method for a fuel cell vehicle includes: determining whether vehicle state information satisfies a cold start condition when the fuel cell vehicle is started; starting constant voltage control on a fuel cell when the vehicle state information satisfies the cold start condition; comparing an RPM of an air blower for supplying air to the fuel cell with a predetermined stop control condition; and terminating the constant voltage control on the fuel cell when the RPM of the air blower satisfies the predetermined control-stopping condition.
