摘要: In some embodiments, an optical mask for a CT detector is disclosed. In some embodiments, the mask is intercalated between a photodiode array and a scintillator array forming the CT detector. In some embodiments, the optical mask may extend along one or more axes and differentially absorbs and/or reflects light emitted from the scintillators at edges of photodiodes forming the diode array, with less absorption or reflection at edges of tiled die forming the diode array than in central portions of each of the die. Through selective absorption and/or reflection, transference of light photons from a scintillator to the photodiode corresponding to a neighboring scintillator is spatially modified, at least partially compensating for spatial differences in crosstalk signals between adjacent pairs of photodiode/scintillator cell elements. This reduction in differential crosstalk reduces artifacts in a reconstructing data descriptive of internal portions of a subject, which improves diagnostic value of the data.

摘要: The invention concerns a method (300) and system (100) for interrupting a dispatch call. The method can be practiced in a dispatch communications system (100) having at least a first communications channel (162) for carrying voice traffic and a second communications channel (164) for carrying communications-enabling information. The method includes the steps of assigning (312) the first communications channel to at least a first caller (133) and a second caller (135) to permit the first and second callers to engage in a dispatch call and as the first caller has control over the first communications channel, transmitting (314) an interrupt message (505) over the second communications channel to inform the first caller of an interrupt status of the second caller. The transmitting step is performed without terminating the dispatch call.

摘要: A photodiode assembly includes a semiconductor substrate, a photodiode cell, a ground diffusion region, and a guard band. The photodiode cell includes a first volume of the substrate doped with a first type of dopant. The diffusion region includes a second volume of the substrate that is doped with a second, opposite type of dopant. The guard band is disposed in the substrate and at least partially extends around an outer periphery of the photodiode cell. The guard band includes a third volume of the substrate that is doped with the first type of dopant. At least one of the ground diffusion region or the guard band is conductively coupled with a ground reference to conduct one or more of electrons or holes that drift from the photodiode cell through the substrate. The guard band is disposed closer to the photodiode cell than the ground diffusion region.
