摘要: A proteinase therapy has been invented to eliminate solid tumors by destroying tumors' solid structure and killing cancer cells by cleaving vital extracellular matrix proteins C-terminally, N-terminally or both with cell membrane intact and limited adverse effects. The micro-scale intratumoral proteinase K therapy is tumor specific but not cancer type specific. Proteinase K therapy can be operated on multiple tumors on multiple occasions, if necessary. It may be employed to eliminate any solid tumor to prolong a cancer patient's life span.

摘要: The present invention provides an assay for detecting the presence of an array or a profile of antioxidant activity in any sources or products. In particular, the invention provides a method in which a sample is extracted with a polar, a non-polar and a semi-polar solvent to obtain three extracts; the extracts are chromatographed to get a chemical profile; and the profile is analyzed to determine the presence of antioxidants by directly reacting to a free-radical.

摘要: Disclosed is a method of making a proteinase-engineered cancer vaccine or cancer-cell-derived spheres for treating a cancer patient, especially for cancer patients at advanced/metastatic stage. The cancer vaccine comprises dead cancer-cell-derived spheres with unbroken plasma membrane wherein the extracellular proteins and extracellular portion of membrane proteins are cleaved by proteinase digestion. The cancer vaccine may be derived from cancer cell lines or patients' cancer cells or derivatives. Also disclosed is a method of treating a cancer patient by administrating an effective amount of the cancer vaccine or cancer-cell-derived spheres to the patient. The present invention further provides a method of treating multiple diseases in addition to cancers by the cancer-cell-derived spheres, and obtaining cancer-specific immune components from blood of individuals treated with the cancer-cell-derived spheres.
