The two position adjustment mechanisms change distribution of a static magnetic field formed in the predetermined space by the pair of superconducting coils, by adjusting relative positional relation between the two vacuum chambers.

    摘要: Provided is a method of driving an information display panel in which: at least two types of display media comprised of particle groups containing chargeable particles are sealed between opposed two substrates, at least one substrate being transparent; a voltage is applied across a pair of opposed pixel electrodes formed such that conductive films provided to the respective substrates face each other to move the display media, thereby displaying an information image, wherein, at the time of deleting the information image displayed on the information display panel, application of an alternating voltage and application of positive or negative voltage two or more cycles in a row are combined to delete the information image. With this method of driving an information display panel, it is possible to sufficiently delete a history of a previously displayed information image without causing the decrease in lifetime of display-rewriting and increase in power consumption.

    摘要: In a first aspect of the invention, an information display panel, in which at least one group of display media having optical reflectance and charge characteristics, formed by at least one group of particles, are scaled in a cell (corresponding to one display unit) formed by partition walls between two substrates, at least one substrate being transparent, and, in which the display media, to which an electrostatic field is applied, are made to move so as to display information such as an image, includes (1) a color filter formed by arranging filters having a predetermined numbers of colors on a transparent substrate at a display side so as to perform a color display, and a black layer arranged between the partition walls and the transparent substrate. In a second and a third aspects of the invention, an information display panel, in which at least one group of display media having optical reflectance and charge characteristics, formed by at least one group of particles, are sealed in a cell (corresponding to one display unit) formed by partition walls between two substrates, at least one substrate being transparent, and, in which the display media, to which an electrostatic field is applied, are made to move so as to display information such as a color image, includes (2) transparent color filters having three primary colors respectively arranged to one cell, and a colorless transparent clear portion arranged to the respective transparent color filters, and (3) transparent color filters having three primary colors respectively arranged to three pixels formed by dividing respective display units by means of partition walls, and a colorless transparent clear portion arranged to the respective transparent color filters.

    摘要: In the image display device, in which the image display media are sealed between opposed substrates, at least one of two substrates being transparent, and in which the image display media, to which an electrostatic field is applied, are made to move so as to display an image, a construction of the particles utilizing as the image display media is improved (the first, second, fourth, fifth, sixth, eighth and ninth aspects of the invention), and, a material of the particles utilizing as the image display media is improved (the third, seventh and tenth aspects of the invention). Therefore, the whiteness of the particles and the liquid powder using the particles can be improved, and it is possible to prevent the particle agglutination and to control the charge property. Moreover, in the image display panel in which the particles and the liquid powder are used as the image display media, it is possible to obtain a durability such that a contrast of the image display during a repetition display is not decreased. As a result, in the image display device in which the image display panel mentioned above is installed, an excellent image display can be achieved.
