摘要: In a process for the preparation of methanolin parallel reactors, comprising the steps of (a) reacting carbon oxides and hydrogen in the presence of a methanol catalyst in a first methanol reactor to obtain a first methanol-containing effluent, (b) introducing and reacting unconverted synthesis gas in a second methanol reactor in the presence of a methanol catalyst to obtain a second methanol-containing effluent, the first methanol reactor and the second methanol reactor being connected in parallel, (c) combining the first and second effluent, and (d) cooling and separating the combined and cooled effluent into a methanol-containing liquid phase and unconverted synthesis gas, the methanol catalyst in the first methanol reactor is indirectly cooled by boiling water and the methanol catalyst in the second methanol reactor is either directly or indirectly cooled by the unconverted synthesis gas prior to conversion into the second effluent.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a process plant and a process for production of a hydrogen rich gas, comprising the steps of (a) directing an amount of a synthesis gas comprising at least 15%, 50% or 80% on dry basis of CO and H2 in combination, a gas comprising steam, and a recycled intermediate product gas to be combined into a first reactor feed gas, (b) directing said first reactor feed gas to contact a first material catalytically active in water gas shift reaction, producing an intermediate product gas, (c) splitting said intermediate product gas in the recycled intermediate product gas and a remaining intermediate product gas, (d) combining said remaining intermediate product gas with a further amount of synthesis gas forming a second reactor feed gas, (e) directing said second reactor feed gas to contact a second material catalytically active in the water gas shift reaction, producing a product gas, characterized in the H2O:CO ratio in said first reactor feed gas being from 0.5 to 2.0 and the H2O:CO ratio in said second reactor feed gas being from 0.5 to 2.0. with the associated benefit of distributing the heat development and thus reducing the maximum temperature in the reactors by limiting the extent of reaction of the reacting mixture, and thereby reducing the amount of steam required for limiting methanation.

摘要: In a process for the production of higher alcohols, i.e. C4+ alcohols, from syngas, the syngas is first reacted in a heterogeneous alcohol pre-converter (A) using an alcohol synthesis catalyst, whereby methanol as the main product in a concentration corresponding to or close to the equilibrium concentration is produced. Then the effluent from the pre-converter is mixed with unconverted wet recycle gas and reacted in a heterogeneous reactor for higher alcohols synthesis (B) containing a higher alcohols synthesis catalyst, and finally the effluent from the reactor for higher alcohols synthesis is separated into (i) unconverted syngas, which is recycled to the higher alcohols synthesis reactor, (ii) methanol and light alcohols, which are recycled to the higher alcohols synthesis reactor, and (iii) the final product consisting of higher alcohols.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a process for hydrogenation of a raw gas feed, said process comprising the steps of a) reacting the raw gas in the presence of a material being catalytically active in hydrogenation of oxygen and/or olefins, and being an adsorbent of H2S, and b) withdrawing a heated purified gas wherein said raw gas comprises at least 10 ppb, preferably at least 20 ppb, and most preferably at least 50 ppb of a sulfur impurity such as H2S or COS, and at least 0.1%, preferably at least 0.2% and most preferably at least 0.5% by volume of one or more further impurities taken from the group of O2 and CnH2n, and wherein the temperature of the catalytically active material is sufficiently high to ensure that the concentration of the sulfur impurity and said one or more further impurities in said purified gas is less than half the concentration in said raw gas. This process has the benefit of removing multiple undesired impurities from the raw gas in a single reactor while maintaining the temperature at the outlet of the reactor sufficiently low to avoid production of alcohols.
