    摘要: In accordance with some embodiments of the present disclosure, a high pressure regulation system for a ball valve used in a wellbore is disclosed. The high pressure ball valve includes an outer wall, an inner wall disposed in the outer wall, a tubing defined by an inner diameter of the inner wall, an annulus defined by an outer diameter of the inner wall and an inner diameter of the outer wall, a lower chamber formed in the annulus, and a relief valve fluidically coupled to the lower chamber. The relief valve is to control a pressure differential between a pressure in the lower chamber and a pressure in the tubing.

    摘要: Pressure-activated valve assemblies and methods to remotely activate a valve are disclosed. A pressure-activated valve assembly includes a valve, a latch mechanism configured to shift the valve to an open position, and a pressure-activated indexing mechanism that is initially engaged to the latch mechanism. The pressure-activated indexing mechanism is initially in an unarmed mode. After the pressure-activated indexing mechanism is in an armed mode, applying at least one cycle of threshold pressure to the pressure-activated indexing mechanism disengages the latch mechanism to shift the valve to the open position. The pressure-activated valve assembly also includes a remote-activated downhole system configured to receive an activation pressure signal having a signature profile, and in response to receiving the activation pressure signal, arm the pressure-activated indexing mechanism.

    摘要: An actuation assembly positionable within a wellbore may comprise a primary piston coupled to a first spring. The primary piston may be positionable in a first position in which it is coupled to a release latch for restraining the release latch from actuating a ball valve mechanism. The actuation assembly may also include a locking piston coupled to a second spring and a locking mechanism positioned between the primary piston and the locking piston. The locking mechanism may be moveable between a restrained position and an unrestrained position, wherein in the restrained position the locking mechanism prevents the primary piston from moving a predetermined amount in a first direction in response to an application of pressure from a surface of the wellbore that is greater than a predetermined amount of pressure.

    摘要: A downhole tool having an indexing apparatus for actuating the downhole tool from the surface by applying a pre-determined number of hydraulic pressure signals to the downhole tool. The downhole having an outer tubing that has an outer surface and an inner surface, the inner surface defining an inner region of the outer tubing. The downhole tool includes a sliding sleeve positioned within the inner region of the outer tubing, the sliding sleeve being slideable relative to the outer tubing. The sliding sleeve including a first magnet and a second magnet that are positioned in an opposing orientation relative to one another for providing a reference point detectable via a magnetometer at a surface of a wellbore. An indexing position of the downhole tool being determined by comparing a location of the reference point on the sliding sleeve to a location of a fixed point on the outer tubing.
