摘要: A plug for use in a wellbore has a piston that is movable on a body. A control valve is disposed in communication between the wellbore and a piston chamber and can capture wellbore pressure in the piston chamber. A closure on the body can transition from a closed condition to an open condition relative to the port in response to the movement of the piston. A fixture releasably holds the closure in the closed condition on the body. The fixture releases in response an increased pressure differential on the piston above an initial pressure differential between the captured chamber pressure and the wellbore pressure.

摘要: A treatment system including a settable and unsettable seal sub, an operation sub connected to the seal sub, the operation sub including a flow restrictor, and a selectively openable port biased to a closed position. A borehole system including a slickline, and a resettable seal connected to the slickline and runnable in the borehole on the slickline. A method for treating a formation adjacent a borehole including running the treatment system on a slickline to a target depth, flowing past the flow restrictor thereby causing the flow restrictor and a mandrel upon which the restrictor is mounted to move toward the seal sub, partially setting the seal sub and increasing pressure on the seal sub thereby fully setting the seal sub. A borehole system, including a borehole in a subsurface formation, a treatment system disposed within the borehole.

摘要: A body defines a central flow passage. A check valve is located within the central flow passage. The check valve is supported by the body. The check valve is arranged such that a fluid flow travels in a downhole direction during operation of the float collar. An auxiliary flow passage is substantially parallel to the central flow passage and is defined by the body. The auxiliary flow passage includes an inlet upstream of the check valve and an outlet at a downhole end of the float collar. A rupture disk seals the inlet of the auxiliary flow passage. The rupture disk is configured to burst at a specified pressure differential.

摘要: High pressure gas lift valve with dual edge welded bellow subassembly where two bellows are incorporated in sealed configuration filled with silicone oil. Bellows are of different sizes featuring equal volumetric oil displacement for the pre-set total compression/expansion which corresponds to equal stem travel. By design both bellows can be fully compressed solid preventing bellows overstressing allowing extremely high pressure to be applied to both bellows. Lower bellow effective area is larger for orifice area than upper bellow area. This eliminates differential pressure across the bellows during valve opening resulting in equalized internal/external bellow stresses. Both bellows work only in compression from free length to full compression.
This results in bellow internal/external pressure and stress level equalization and long cycle life. Valve withstands high injection pressure for well integrity testing. Once lower bellow is fully compressed solid high pressure would not be transmitted to upper bellow and vice versa.-

A flow dampener is positioned within the fluid passage and between the first and second check valves.

摘要: An equalizer valve is hydraulically operated by a pair of control lines running from a remote location such as a well surface. The use of control lines to make a mandrel or piston move in opposed directions removes the need for a spring or compressed gas to act as a spring against the anticipated hydrostatic force in a single control line system that is dependent on setting depth. The equalizer valve with its pair of control lines is insensitive to setting depth. Three seals on the mandrel are used to move the mandrel with the two control lines in opposed directions and to apply a net force to the mandrel. The seal applying the net closure force is exposed to a low or atmospheric chamber to make the second seal operate reliably using a large differential.

摘要: A pressure activated cyclical valve assembly includes a first sub, a second sub, a piston, and a biasing member. The first sub has a first passageway therethrough. The second sub is coupled to the first sub and has a second passageway therethrough. The piston is positioned within the second passageway and is shiftable between a deactivated position in which a bypass port is closed and an activated position in which the bypass port is open. The piston has a piston orifice and the first passageway is in fluid communication with the second passageway through the piston orifice. The biasing member exerts a force against the piston to maintain the piston in the deactivated position. The piston orifice is sized to restrict the flow of fluid therethrough such that the piston can be shifted between the deactivated and activated positions by changing flowrate of fluid in the first passageway.

摘要: A steam operated flow control device and method is disclosed. In one mode, the flow control device enables steam to be injected into a subterranean formation region containing hydrocarbons. In another mode, the flow control device enables the hydrocarbons to be produced from the subterranean formation to the surface. The flow control device includes a piston disposed between a housing and a mandrel having aligned ports, which slides between a first position where one set of ports align with the ports in the housing and the mandrel and a second position where another set of smaller ports align with the ports in the housing and mandrel. The piston is operated by a bellows having a chamber which contains a fluid. The fluid responds to temperature and/or pressure variations.

摘要: A control system for a Subsurface Safety Valve (SSSV), includes an actuating piston mounted in a housing with at least one seal and connected to the SSSV. The actuating piston having a first end and a second end, the first end in fluid communication with a control line; a primary pressure reservoir in fluid communication with the second end of the actuating piston, the reservoir configured to contain a fluid under an amount of pressure selected to act against a prospective hydrostatic pressure expected in the control line based upon the selected position of the control system in a downhole environment. An equalizing piston in fluid communication with both the control line and with the second end of the actuating piston, the equalizing piston remaining in a closed position during shifting of the actuating piston with pressure applied or removed from the control line, the equalizing piston movable to an open position upon a control system failure that reduces pressure in the primary reservoir to below a threshold value; and a condition sensing and chemical injection assembly in fluid communication with the primary reservoir. A method for operating a control system for a Subsurface Safety Valve (SSSV).
