    摘要: A transfer station for transferring foundry ladles from a delivery station situated on the shop floor level to a higher pouting position of a curved continuous-casting installation, and includes a revolving turret with a foundation and supporting arms for receiving the foundry ladle. The arms are guided by paths and are arranged at a column which is rotatably supported on the foundation. A lifting device in the form of a hydraulic cylinder is provided for vertically moving the supporting arms. The lifting device is arranged below the plane of the rotating ring of the column only on the side of the take-over position regardless of the position of the column. The take-over position for the foundry ladle is likewise arranged below the plane of the rotating ting. The paths provided at the column extend below the plane of the rotating ring on the side of the delivery station and are severed in the plane of the rotating ting. A supporting member which can be moved out laterally and serves to support the supporting arms receiving the foundry ladle is arranged above the plane of the rotating ring at the column inside two paths guiding the supporting arms.

    摘要: An oscillating device for a continuous-casting mold is disclosed. The device includes a generally retangular base frame, two eccentric shafts arranged in parallel on the base frame and arranged to be driven in rotation. Each of the two eccentric shafts is connected to a respective pair of eccentrics that are arranged on corners of the base frame and by which oscillation can be imparted to the mold. The device includes a support plate having a centrally arranged opening in which the mold is fastened. A respective wear plate is positioned at each corner of the support plate, below the support plate. The wear plate rests on a respective eccentric outer ring that, in turn, is mounted for rotation on one of the pair of eccentrics that is driven in rotation. The device further includes spring bars arranged parallel to edges of the support plate and having connections at corner points to the base frame and, between the corner points, to the support plate.

    摘要: The invention is directed to an apparatus for thermally cutting rectangular metal slabs along a longitudinal axis of the slab. A metal slab is conveyed along a predetermined path of travel while it is being cut by, for example, an oxygen-flame cutting machine. The means for conveying the metal slab comprises a plurality of rollers transversely disposed relative to the path of travel and the cutting machine is arranged above the conveying means and between two of the rollers. The slag created by the cutting is collected and conveyed by a slag duct disposed below the conveying means. Pursuant to the invention, the slag duct extends from between the two rollers adjacent the cutting machine along an axis transverse to the path of travel. In accordance with another feature of the invention, the side edges of the metal slab are sensed and the cutting machine is transversely aligned relative to the path of travel in accordance with the sensed locations of the side edges.

    摘要: The invention is directed to a method and apparatus for thermally cutting rectangular metal slabs along a longitudinal axis of the slab.
