摘要: In a device for loading a three-knife trimmer with brochures, periodicals or like bound book blocks (1), comprising a feed conveyor (4), a stacking device (16) operable in magazine mode and counted stack mode and including a magazine (17) having a first upper magazine intermediate shelf (18) and a second lower magazine intermediate shelf (25), and comprising a delivery table (28) arranged below said magazine (17) and an ejector (29) for cyclically and synchronously feeding a stack (3) of book blocks to the intake device (35) of the three-knife trimmer, it is provided that the feed conveyor (4) is formed by a conveyor belt (5) continuously driven at a first velocity (vS) and by an accelerator conveyor (6) located directly downstream thereof in the feed direction and driven at a higher velocity (vB), and that a separating device (11) for book blocks (1) supplied in an imbricated flow (2) is arranged in the transition zone from the conveyor belt (5) to the accelerator conveyor (6) for holding back a following portion of the imbricated flow, whereby a gap is created in the imbricated flow (2) for the opening and closing of the first magazine intermediate shelf (18). The device is characterised by its simple construction and makes possible a high feed rate, in particular for thin book blocks.

摘要: The invention relates to an apparatus for electronic monitoring of the supply current of modules connected to a bus, in particular for monitoring the supply current of bus devices of an automation bus system. The object of the invention is to provide an apparatus for electronic monitoring of the supply current of modules connected to a bus, which on the one hand, if required, carries out reliable isolation from the supply voltage, and simultaneously maintains the diagnostics capability for the purpose of fault locating. The invention achieves this by virtue of the fact that the apparatus has at least one device for detecting and at least one device for limiting and/or disconnecting the supply current. In this case, the device for disconnecting the supply current responds to the value of the detected supply current, it being ensured thereby that the energy supply for other modules of the automation bus, which are connected in parallel with reference to the supply voltage, does not fail, as a result of which at least a limited operation of the system is maintained, and thus fault diagnosis also remains possible.

摘要: The invention relates to a device for feeding book blocks, books or similar printed products (2), in step with the working cycle, to a subsequent processing machine. The infeed device comprises a continuous-drive accumulating conveyor (3); an arrestor (5), arranged at the downstream end of the continuous-drive accumulating conveyor (3), for cycled release of individual printed products (2); and a continuous-drive onward conveyor (11), which transports the printed products (2) by means of frictional force, for onward conveying of the separated printed products (2) to a defined transfer position (13) from which the printed products (2) are taken over, in step with the working cycle, by an infeed system (17) of the subsequent processing machine. According to the invention, the infeed device is characterized by a sensor (14), arranged in the conveyance region of the onward conveyor (11), for registering the front edge of each printed product (2); and by an infeed control device (8) for evaluating the sensor signal and for triggering the arrestor (5), wherein the time difference between the remaining processing time (from receipt of the sensor signal to the point in time when the printed product (2) is taken over by the infeed system (17)) and the theoretical transport time to the transfer position (13) (given by the conveyance speed and the conveyance distance still to be traveled) is determined; and wherein the point in time for triggering the arrestor (5) in the subsequent conveyance cycle is correspondingly corrected by the time difference. This leads to the printed products (2) being taken over by the infeed system (17) of the subsequent processing machine almost at the point in time when they arrive at the transfer position (13).

摘要: An adhesive film which reliably completely covers the spine side of a book block, prior to mating with a cover, is applied by an applicator roller which is controlled to rotate at speeds which are a function of the book block linear velocity and the location of the book block relative to the roller. The applicator rotational speed is determined from stored information and, depending on book block location, will either be greater or less than book block velocity.
