摘要: An instrumentation amplifier configured for providing high common mode rejection and low distortion is described and includes an input differential pair configured to receive a differential input voltage and differential feedback voltage and a folded cascode amplifying stage configured to receive output current mode signals provided from the input differential pair. A current mirror is configured to mirror output current mode signals provided from said folded cascode amplifying stage. An external gain setting configuration may include a resistor feedback network, which includes a first resistor being connected between feedback inputs of said input differential pair, a second resistor between an output terminal of the current mirror and a first feedback input of said input differential pair, a third resistor between a common terminal and a second feedback input of said input differential pair.

摘要: A programmable a fully-differential programmable gain amplifier for reducing distortion, switching transients and interference, and improving bandwidth. In one embodiment, the amplifier includes a programmable gain module, an amplifier coupled to the current mode outputs and a data latch circuit of the programmable gain module, the amplifier configured to apply common mode voltage to the data latch circuit, and a current-to-voltage converter. In one embodiment, the fully-differential programmable gain amplifier controls distortion and switching interference during amplification by sensing common mode signals to produce an error signal, and applying the resulting error signal to the programmable gain module for multiplying digital to analog conversion. Components of the fully-differential programmable gain amplifier provide compensation of distortion caused by nonlinearity of device switches and switch resistance, and can include a floating supply, galvanic isolation of control signals and a common mode voltage controller.

摘要: An amplifier circuit includes an input amplifier; an output unity gain buffer; and a second unity gain buffer. The output unity gain buffer and the second unity gain buffer are each configured to receive a signal from an input amplifier. The output unity gain buffer is configured to provide an output voltage to an amplifier output, and the second unity gain buffer is configured to provide a bootstrap signal to the input amplifier. A unity gain amplifier includes an input unity gain amplifier; and an output unity gain buffer and a second unity gain buffer. The buffers are configured to receive a signal from an input amplifier. The output unity gain buffer is configured to provide an output voltage to an amplifier output, and the second unity gain buffer is configured to provide a bootstrap signal to the input unity gain amplifier.

A plurality of feedback networks is provided to improve the input stage. The amplifier may operate to provide an enhanced common mode rejection ratio of a single gain block in the instrumentation amplifier. In some examples, the circuitry may have a differential folded cascode amplifying stage which permits high precision and low distortion of amplified signals without degrading the common mode rejection ratio.

摘要: In at least one embodiment, a differential amplifier including first and second current transfer systems, a current difference producing system, and a feedback network circuit is provided. The first current transfer system generates a first differential current signal. The second current transfer system generates a second differential current signal. The current difference producing system receives the first differential current signal and the second differential current signal and generates a voltage difference signal that is indicative of a difference between a first current signal and a second current signal. The feedback network circuit converts the voltage difference signal into at least two converted current signals and provides the at least two converted current signals to one of the first and second current transfer systems or the current difference producing system to minimize the difference between the first current signal and the second current signal.
