Abstract: Exemplary embodiments are directed to venturi bypass systems that generally include a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet. The systems can include a venturi path disposed between the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet. The venturi path can include a venturi defining a venturi inlet and a venturi outlet. The systems can include a bypass loop connected to the venturi path at a joint upstream of the venturi outlet. The systems can include a separation tube connected to the venturi outlet. The separation tube can extend fluid flowing through the venturi path downstream of the joint at which the bypass loop connects to the venturi path. Exemplary embodiments are also directed to methods of regulating fluid flow through a venturi bypass system.

Abstract: A combined ultraviolet light and ozone fluid sterilization system for sterilizing fluid that includes a removable and replaceable internal reflective sleeve is provided. The sterilization system includes a lower housing, an upper housing, a winged nut, a UV light manifold, a plurality of UV light assemblies, a plurality of UV light securing assembly, and a reflective sleeve. The UV light assemblies include a UV light and an ozone siphon pipe positioned within a quartz casing, which is sealed with an endcap. The ozone siphon pipe of each UV light assembly can be operatively connected with a venturi for introducing ozone into the fluid. The sleeve includes perforated ends which create a more uniform flow within the sleeve, reduce air pockets, normalize the residence time of the fluid molecules, normalize the velocity of the fluid, and increase overall uniformity of treatment.

Abstract: Exemplary embodiments are directed to lamp ballast systems, generally including a lamp, at least one temperature sensor, a ballast and a processor. The at least one temperature sensor can be positioned proximate to the lamp or incorporated into the lamp. The ballast provides an electrical current to the lamp. The processor receives a sensed temperature from the at least one temperature sensor and, in response to the sensed temperature, directs a control signal to the ballast to regulate the electrical current provided to the lamp to maintain the lamp at an optimal operating temperature. Exemplary embodiments are also directed to methods of maintaining a lamp at an optimal operating temperature, generally including providing a lamp ballast system, receiving a sensed temperature, and directing a control signal to the ballast to regulate the electrical current provided to the lamp to maintain the lamp at the optimal operating temperature.
