    摘要: A plasma picture screen is disclosed. In one embodiment, an AC plasma picture screen with a coplanar arrangement which has an enhanced luminance is provided. A layer, which has a high reflection in the wavelength range of the plasma emission (145 to 200 nm) and a high transmission in the visible wavelength range, is provided on the front plate. The front plate includes a glass plate on which a dielectric layer, a protective layer, a reflective layer are provided. The reflective layer reflects UV light emitted in the direction of the front plate back towards phosphors. The optical properties of the UV light reflecting layer are realized with inorganic particles with a particle diameter of between 200 nm and 500 nm and a layer thickness from 0.5 &mgr;m to 5 &mgr;m, or with agglomerates of inorganic particles with a particle diameter of between 10 nm and 200 nm and a layer thickness of 0.2 &mgr;m to 10 &mgr;m.

    摘要: The luminescent phosphor degradation in a cathode ray display tube, caused by aging, is decreased. This decrease is achieved by introducing before and/or during evacuation a hydrolyzable gas into the tube's inner space for a limited time interval, using a partial pressure which is essentially larger than the eventual final vacuum pressure of the cathode ray tube, and then allowing the final vacuum pressure to be achieved without any further supply of gas. Thereafter, the cathode ray tube is sealed in a gastight manner.

    摘要: The invention relates to a display screen comprising a phosphor composition of a sulphide and/or selenide-containing phosphor which is provided with a coating which comprises one or more catena-polyphosphates of one or more alkaline earth metals, zinc, cadmium and/or manganese. In such a display screen, in particular a low-energy cathode ray display screen, the advantages of the efficient sulphide or selenide-containing phosphors can be used and said display screen remains bright and rich in contrast for a long period of time because the coating acts as a stabilizing protective coating which limits the corrosion processes in sulphide and/or selenide-containing phosphors induced by low-energy radiation.
