Abstract: A process and an apparatus for dosing and applying liquid or pasty media to an object are disclosed. A dosing apparatus filled with the liquid or pasty medium is positioned relative to the object. The dispenser-like dosing apparatus is pressurized with a pressure surge, so that the dosing apparatus plunger is displaced and the medium ejected. The filling level of the medium in the dosing apparatus is determined by means of a filling level sensor and pressurization is modified as a function of the filling level.
