Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an Inkjet printing process that comprises inkjet printing an inkjet ink composition onto a substrate to form a printed inkjet ink layer. The inkjet ink composition comprises a colorant, a curable polyurethane dispersion, a photoinitiator and water, wherein the amount of curable polyurethane dispersed in the inkjet ink composition is 0.1 to 30 weight %. A radiation-curable overcoat composition is applied over the printed inkjet ink layer as an overcoat layer. The overcoat composition comprises a curable polyurethane dispersion, a photoinitiator and water. The printed inkjet ink layer is then cured on the substrate by exposing both the overcoat layer and inkjet ink layer on the substrate to radiation.

Abstract: An aqueous radiation curable dispersant formulation includes water and styrene acrylic resin stabilized thioxanthone derivative photoinitiator particles dispersed in the water. The styrene acrylic resin stabilized thioxanthone derivative photo initiator particles have a volume-weighted mean diameter of less than 40 nm. The styrene acrylic resin stabilized thioxanthone derivative photo initiator particles include a water-insoluble, thioxanthone derivative photoinitiator core having one, two, or three units. When the water-insoluble, thioxanthone derivative photoinitiator core includes two units or three units, the units are covalently bonded together.

Abstract: Herein is disclosed a method of transfer inkjet printing comprising jetting a radiation curable inkjet ink onto an intermediate transfer member of an inkjet printer to form an image; irradiating the radiation curable inkjet ink on the intermediate transfer member to form an at least partially cured image; and transferring the at least partially cured image to a substrate to form a printed substrate. Herein is also disclosed a transfer inkjet printing apparatus adapted, in use, to perform the method.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an inkjet composition comprising a curable polyurethane dispersion and an aqueous carrier. Abstract: The present disclosure is drawn to reactive polyurethane dispersions. In one example, a reactive polyurethane dispersion can include a polymer strand having a polymer backbone that has two ends terminating at a first capping unit and a second capping unit. The polymer backbone can include polymerized monomers including a reactive diol and a diisocyanate. The reactive diol can be an acrylate-containing diol, a methacrylate-containing diol, an acrylamide-containing diol, a methacrylamide-containing diol, or combination thereof. The first capping unit can be an acrylamide-containing monoalcohol or methacrylamide-containing monoalcohol reacted with an isocyanate group of the diisocyanate.
