Abstract:
A job processing method for an image forming system having an image forming apparatus capable of print-outputting additional information of a job on a sheet where image data of the job, stored in a storage unit capable of storing plural page job data, is print-outputted. Information related to an operating condition of the image forming apparatus is confirmed, and based on the information, the image forming apparatus is caused to operate in one of a first mode to print-output additional information, generated without an operator's intervention operation, on the sheet, and a second mode to print-output additional information, generated via the operator's intervention operation, on the sheet.
Abstract:
An image forming system has an image forming apparatus which has a printing unit which can perform a printing process of data of a storage unit which can store data of a plurality of jobs and which has a conveying unit which can convey a sheet from the print unit to a sheet processing device which can perform sheet processing, including at least a gluing process, for sheets from the printing unit, the system comprising: a controller adapted to permit a predetermined process related to the gluing process when the job to be processed is a job which meets a predetermined condition, and to inhibit the predetermined process related to the gluing process when the job to be processed is not a job which meets the predetermined condition, thereby overcoming obstacles to realization of an image forming system capable of a gluing process.
Abstract:
There is provided a double-sided printing device that can eliminate a user having to care about the orientation of double-sided recording sheets when such recording sheets are set. A type of a recording sheet to be fed from a feed cassette is designated. An obverse surface image and a reverse surface image are printed, respectively, on the obverse surface and the reverse surface of the recording sheet in a predetermined order. The predetermined order is reversed when the designated type of the recording sheet matches a predetermined type of recording sheet.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus that forms images of originals on sheets, includes a plurality of feeders for feeding sheets, a memory for storing sheet types in association with the plurality of feeders, and storing the order of priority between the sheet types, and a selector for selecting one of the plurality of feeders to be used for a sheet feeding operation in accordance with the sheet types and the order of priority stored in the memory.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus has: character data forming means for forming character data; synthesizing means for synthesizing the character data formed by the character data forming means with image data; image output means for printing a synthesis result of the synthesizing means onto a sheet; sheet post-processing means for performing a post-process to the sheet outputted by the image output means; and adjusting means for adjusting a printing position of the character data and a processing position of the sheet post-processing means.

Abstract:
A multifunction image processing apparatus allows autoclear function to clear only a process mode designated by an operator, if no key-input has been made at an operation panel, otherwise, allows the autoclear function to operate against a pre-designated function and/or a currently-used function mode. The operator can designate an initial picture of a process mode to be displayed after autoclearing can be designated. The apparatus has good operability since the autoclear can be performed in accordance with the respective functions.
Abstract:
To provide flexible image repeat environments coping with user's needs for using an image repeat function to obtain an image considering a cutout operation and for using this function to obtain background and pattern, an image forming apparatus includes, in the image repeat function, a first layout mode that the adjacent same data on the same face of one paper are arranged with intervals added in the first and second directions, and a second layout mode that the adjacent same data on the same face of the one paper are arranged without intervals in the first and second directions, and comprises a selector for selecting the first or second layout mode in the image repeat function, and a controller for causing to execute the first and second layout modes in the image repeat function respectively when the first and second layout modes are selected.
