摘要： An on-vehicle airbag apparatus includes an airbag housing having a weakened portion, which is breakable. An airbag is stored in a folded state in the airbag housing so that the weakened portion is broken upon inflation. An inflator for generating gas for inflating the airbag is provided. The speed of response of air discharge from the airbag is sufficiently enhanced. A shutter that can open and close the air discharge port is mounted on a case. The case is formed of rigid material, is hermetically connected to an opening of the airbag and is provided with the air discharge port. A shutter-driving actuator for driving a shutter from the closed position to the opened position when in operation is connected to the shutter.

摘要： In a compact vehicle including a pipe stem to be inserted into a head pipe wherein the pipe stem is rotatably supported by the head pipe located at the front end on a vehicle body frame. A front fork is provided for rotatably supporting a front wheel being to a top bridge and a bottom bridge secured at the upper and lower ends of the pipe stem. A steering handle is mounted on the top bridge. To simplify the configuration of the airbag and simplifying the connection between the inflator and the airbag is supported on the steering handle and the inflator for supplying gas for inflation and deployment is stored in the pipe stem.

摘要： An inflator unit provided on a main frame of a motorcycle is provided with an inflator case having an inflator stored therein. Gas generated by the inflator flows through the interior of the main frame and is supplied to the airbag. The inflator case includes the left and right case halves divided along the parting plane and joined with each other by two bolts and the internal space thereof narrows towards an exit opening in the funnel shape. The axis Li of the inflator is shifted to the side opposite from the exit opening with respect to the axis Lc of the inflator case. A main frame may be formed with an atmosphere communication hole for communicating the interior of the main frame with the atmosphere at the position near the inflator case so that the atmosphere is introduced through the atmosphere communication port into the interior of the main frame by the negative pressure generated when gas flows from the inflator to the airbag. Thus, a large-volume airbag can be deployed by a small-capacity inflator.

摘要： To secure the capacity of an inflator for deploying an airbag even when the airbag unit is downsized due to a limitation with respect to the mounting space. An airbag unit is disposed at the front portion of a fuel tank of a motorcycle V. A pair of inflator units is disposed on the left side and the right side of the centerline L of the vehicle body in a symmetrical manner. The inflators stored in the respective inflator units are connected to the airbag unit via gas supply hoses. Accordingly, even when a space for storing an inflator having a sufficient capacity cannot be provided in the airbag unit, the airbag can reliably be deployed by merging a sufficient amount of gas supplied from the inflators of a plurality of inflator units without any problems.

摘要： A compact vehicle provided with a seat belt for constraining a rider to enhance impact absorption effect of an air bag, and releasing the seat belt when secondary motion is caused in relation to the vehicle body. The air bag constrains the rider on a seat from a forward direction when the air bag is inflated and extended. One end of a seat belt wound around the waist of the rider and is coupled to the vehicle body via a retractor provided with a locking function in emergency. A coupling means is provided in which coupling and uncoupling can be switched manually in a coupled state. In addition, coupling is automatically released after a predetermined period of time elapses subsequent to inflation of the air bag, thus releasing the other end of the seat belt from the vehicle body.
