摘要: A control circuit for automobile headlamps which emit light in variable color. The control circuit prevents left and right headlamps from emitting beams of light in different colors. Each headlamp includes a white light bulb, and a yellow globe is moved from a first position to a second position to cover the bulb when yellow light is selected, and the yellow globe is moved back to the first position when white light is selected. If the movement of the globe stops between the first and second positions, the control circuit generates a fault signal for turning off the headlamp associated with the fault, thus preventing the headlamps from emitting light of different colors. Alternatively, the control circuit can adjust the position of the globe for the headlamp without the fault to be in agreement with the position with the headlamp having the fault, such that both headlamps emit light of the same color.

摘要: In a color changing lamp equipped with a bulb 4 emitting a color of light, a glove with a different color from the color is selectively located on the covering position and exposure position of the bulb 4 in order to emit the different color of light. The current supply for the bulb 4 is stopped while the glove is selectively moved, thereby preventing different colors of light in a mixed state from being emitted on the way of exchange.

摘要: In a headlamp comprising low beam irradiating, there are provided main beam irradiating means, light distribution switching means for switching a low beam and a main beam, abnormality detecting means for detecting an abnormal situation in which a proper low beam cannot be formed, and optical axis tilting means for vertically tilting an optical axis of at least a main beam, and the abnormality detecting means detects an abnormality, a light distribution is switched into a main beam by the light distribution switching and the optical axis of the main beam is turned downward by the optical axis tilting means. When a proper low beam cannot be formed, a main beam having a larger light amount is generally turned on to maintain a visibility in of a vehicle and the optical axis of the main beam is turned downward such that glare light is not generated.

摘要: A radiating direction control unit 1 of a lighting device for a vehicle for controlling a radiating direction of the lighting device 6 in accordance with the pitch angle of the vehicle. The radiation direction control unit includes an axle level detector 2 which detects a change in the level of a front or a rear axle of the vehicle, and a vehicle inclination detector 3 for detecting an inclination of the vehicle in the transverse direction. A pitch angle of the vehicle is determined based on respective signals emitted by the axle level detector and the vehicle inclination detector. A radiation direction controller corrects a radiating direction of the lighting device only when a change in the inclination of the vehicle in the transverse direction is not detected by the inclined attitude detection means 3. Accordingly, the radiating direction of the lighting device 6 is not changed due to a change in the vehicle attitude which does not affect the pitch angle of the vehicle.

摘要: A lighting-direction control unit 1 for a lamp of a vehicle incorporates a vehicle-height detecting means 2 for detecting change in the height of an axle of front wheels or that of rear wheel of the vehicle. In response to a signal representing the detected height of the vehicle, the pitch angle of the vehicle is obtained to change the lighting direction of a lamp 6 to correspond to the change in the attitude of the vehicle. A means 3 for detecting the change rate of acceleration for obtaining the change rate of acceleration with respect to time in the direction in which the vehicle runs is provided. When the change rate with respect to time is high, a lighting control means 4 transmits a control signal to an operating means 5 in such a manner that the response of the control of the lighting direction of the lamp 6 is quickened. Therefore, delay in the control is prevented when the change in the acceleration is great.
