    摘要: Rack gears of far-side paper guides are provided such that manners of meshing with pinion gears are made tighter at respective regions corresponding to locations for constraining paper of standard size, as compared to other regions. In addition, by constituting width guide plates which are upstream in a paper feed directions from far-side paper guides and width guide plates which are downstream in a paper feed directions therefrom such that respective areas of surfaces receiving paper, and respective distances from respective width guide plates to gear mesh locations, are respectively set so as to be substantially mutually equal. Impacts from stacks of paper produced during placement of paper within a paper supply apparatus may be received substantially equal at upstream and downstream from gear mesh of far-side paper guides, and torques acting on far-side paper guides upstream and downstream from gear mesh locations may be made substantially mutually equal.

    摘要: A sheet transport guide includes a torsion coil spring (X). The spring (X) has a first arm (B4) with an end (B5). Through the end (B5), the spring (X) supports a rotation shaft of driven roller (R32) and applies elastic force to the roller (R32). Through the arm (B4) that is curved, the spring (X) guides a sheet toward a rotation roller R31. The spring (X) has a coil portion (B1) and an end (B3) of a second arm (B3) both fixed to a frame of an apparatus body. A plurality of driven rollers (R32) are aligned approximately parallel to a shaft (R31a) of the roller (R31). The rollers (R32) are each provided with the springs (X). A largest elastic force is applied to the roller (R32) at a predetermined reference position, and smaller elastic forces are applied to the other rollers (R32) at positions distant from the reference position.

    摘要: A sheet feeding apparatus includes first and second sheet sensors provided in order from upstream to downstream sides in feeding direction on a paper feed path, sheet conveyor roller sets arranged along the path, and a roller controller individually controlling groups of rollers on the upstream and downstream sides of the first sheet sensor, in response to a change in values of output signals from first and second sheet sensors. The roller controller includes an overlapped feeding determining device outputting a determination signal assuming a first value when overlapped feeding occurs and a second value otherwise, in response to the change in values of the output signals from the sensors, an overlapped feeding eliminating device eliminating overlapped feeding by controlling the roller controller upon receiving the determination signal of the first value, and a conveyor roller stopping device stopping the sheet conveyor rollers if the overlapped feeding eliminating process should fail.
