    Abstract: The control method for a hammer drill (1) provides the following steps. During basic operation, the motor (5) rotates at an operating speed for the drilling operation with chiseling action in order to rotationally drive the tool holder (2) and to drive the hammer mechanism (6) with a nominal striking power. The torque coupling (21) is monitored with the aid of a sensor (26). If a disengagement of the torque coupling (21) occurs, the striking power of the hammer mechanism (6) is reduced to below 10% of the nominal striking power during a disengagement of the torque coupling (21), and the torque coupling (21) is driven. When the disengagement of the torque coupling (21) ends, the striking power of the hammer mechanism (6) is increased to the nominal striking power and the torque coupling (21) is driven at the operating speed for the drilling operation with chiseling action.

A sensor (27) serves to record a measured signal (28) as the measure of vibrations inside the handheld power tool (1). A band-pass filter (29) has a pass range in which a frequency lies that is equal to the product of the rotational speed of the wheel (22) on the drive side and the number N of blocking elements (24). The measured signal (28) filtered by the band-pass filter (29) is fed to an evaluation unit (30). When the filtered measured signal (28) exceeds a limit value, the evaluation unit (30) reduces the rotational speed of the motor (5).

    Abstract: A hand-held power tool 1 has a tool socket 2 to hold a tool 4 on a working axis 11, a motor 5 and a pneumatic striking mechanism 6. A driven shaft 7 is coupled to the tool socket 2 in order to rotate the tool around the working axis 11. A slip clutch 24 is arranged in the drive train between the motor 5 and the driven shaft 7. The slip clutch 24 has a disk 25 on the drive side and a disk 26 on the driven side. On a driving ring surface 28 that is in contact with the disk 26 on the driven side, the disk 25 on the drive side has first sectors 33 that have a high friction value as well as second sectors 34 that have a low friction value. On the driven ring surface 29 that is in contact with the driving ring surface 28, the disk 26 on the driven side has third sectors 35 that have a high friction value as well as fourth sectors 36 that have a low friction value.
