A bonded laminate structure which is obtainable by bonding a PBN layer (or PBT layer) to a thermoplastic resin layer without the use of an adhesive material. The bonded laminate structure comprises: a first layer comprising at least one of polybutylene naphthalate (PBN) and polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) as an essential component and having a surface subjected to an electric discharge treatment such as a plasma treatment; and a second layer comprising an amine-rich resin as an essential component and bonded to the surface of the first layer.

A hose of low fuel permeability has a fuel permeability in a bent state with R50 not more than three times a fuel permeability in a straight state, R50 being a bent state where the hose has its longitudinal axis bent to form an arc having a diameter of 100 mm. Its low fuel permeability is achieved if the resin forming its inner wall layer has a melt viscosity falling within a certain range, which can be obtained by, for example, increasing the degree of polymerization of the resin, or grafting a specific side chain to the main chain in each molecule of the resin, or if the resin has a volume swelling degree falling within a certain range, which can be obtained by copolymerizing a monomer having fuel resistance, or blending a polymer having fuel resistance. The hose maintains its low fuel permeability even if it may be subjected to a large load of bending stress as when it is used to form a fluid conveying line.

The wall formed by having its inner and outer layers co-extruded is free from any unevenness in thickness that would occur if their materials had a larger ratio in melt viscosity. Thus, it is impermeable to fuel, and has an improved adhesion between its inner and outer layers.

A tank joint part has a welding member welded to the outer surface of a fuel tank and a main body formed of a material of low fuel permeability and welded or otherwise joined to the welding member. The welding member is formed of modified polyethylene, which is easily weldable or otherwise joinable to the outer surface of the fuel tank and the main body, and in which very fine particles of a layered mineral are easily dispersible. The mineral is dispersed in layers oriented substantially at right angles to the direction of any possible permeation from the tank joint part. The tank joint part ensures a low fuel permeability and a high bonding strength.

The provision of the fluororesin layer on the inner surface of the rubber layer enables simple and effective adhesion of the thinned fluororesin layer to the rubber layer.

A fuel hose comprises a single layered or multi-layered tubular rubber body and a thin film resin layer formed on the inner circumferential surface of the innermost layer of the tubular rubber body. The resin layer is formed of a resin such that an amount of permeation of 10% ethanol-mixed gasoline is 2 mg/cm2/day (at 60° C.) or less when the thickness of the resin layer is 0.1 mm. A preferred example of such a resin is EVOH with an ethylene content of from 35 to 50 mol % or polybutylene aromatic ester. The fuel hose has necessary flexibility and shows excellent impermeability even to an alcohol-mixed gasoline.
