    摘要: A method of producing a polarizing plate of the present invention comprises the steps of: bonding a protective film to at least one side of a polarizing film that is produced through at least uniaxial stretching and has an absorption axis in the uniaxial stretching direction, and removing by cutting at least one of the edges of the polarizing film that are substantially parallel to the direction of the absorption axis before the bonding the protective film. The method widen the effective width of the polarizing plate, and a large size polarizing plate was obtained.

    摘要: A pressure-sensitive adhesive and retardation layer-attached polarizing plate (4) of the invention comprises a retardation layer-attached polarizing plate (3) comprising a polarizing plate (2) that comprises an iodine-based polarizer (1) and a transparent protective film laminated on both sides of the polarizer (1); and a retardation layer provided on at least one of the transparent protective films; and an acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive layer laminated on the retardation layer side of the retardation layer-attached polarizing plate (3), wherein the iodine-based polarizer (1) has a ratio (K/I), which is the content (% by weight) of potassium (K) to the content (% by weight) of iodine (I) in the polarizer, of 0.200 to 0.235, the polarizing plate (2) comprises the iodine-based polarizer (1) and the transparent protective film laminated with an adhesive layer formed from a water-soluble adhesive containing an acetoacetyl group-containing polyvinyl alcohol resin and a crosslinking agent, the retardation layer-attached polarizing plate (3) has a measured dimensional shrinkage of 0.5% or less in the direction of its absorption axis after it is allowed to stand at 80° C. for 24 hours, the pressure-sensitive adhesive and retardation layer-attached polarizing plate (4) has a single-piece transmittance of 41.0% to 43.2%. The pressure-sensitive adhesive and retardation layer-attached polarizing plate can resist a change in optical properties and keep visibility high, even under heated or humidified conditions.

    摘要: A main object of the present invention is to provide a method of producing a laminated optical film that allows three-dimensional images to be reproduced, which is preferably used, particularly, in a large image display apparatus.A method of producing a laminated optical film according to an embodiment of the present invention includes laminating a polarizing plate and a λ/4 plate and forming a λ/2 layer partially on the λ/4 plate. The polarizing plate and the λ/4 plate are laminated so that an angle between an absorption axis of a polarizer of the polarizing plate and a slow axis of the λ/4 plate is substantially 45°, and the λ/2 layer is formed so that an angle between the absorption axis of the polarizer and a slow axis of the λ/2 layer is substantially 45°.
