    摘要: A three-dimensional sound reproducing apparatus is configured by cascading a sound field effect adding unit and a crosstalk canceling unit. The sound field effect adding unit adds a predetermined three-dimensional sound field effect to an input audio signal, thereby generating audio signals respectively corresponding to left and right channels. The crosstalk canceling unit performs a calculation process on the audio signals of the two channels so that, when the audio signals are respectively generated by two loudspeakers positioned in front of a listener, the audio signals reach the left and right ears of the listener without producing crosstalk. The resulting audio signals are supplied to the loudspeakers, respectively. A sound image localizing unit receives two-channel audio signals which are obtained by encoding a center-channel audio signal, a left-channel audio signal, a right-channel audio signal, and a nonlocalization audio signal, and outputs two-channel audio signals in which sound images are to be respectively localized at virtual loudspeakers.

    摘要: An analog-to-digital converting unit comprises an analog level varying circuit having a plurality of gains and varying a magnitude of an analog input signal for producing a plurality of analog output signals different in magnitude from one another with the respective gains, a plurality of analog-to-digital converting circuits respectively supplied with the analog output signals and producing a plurality of digital code signals, respectively, a controlling circuit supplied with two of the digital code signals and calculating a difference therebetween for producing a first control signal indicative of varying one of the digital code signals in value so as to be equal in value to the other digital code signal, a calculating circuit responsive to the first control signal and causing one of the digital code signals to be varied in value for producing a candidate of a digital output signal, and an output circuit coupled to one of the analog-to-digital converting circuits and to the calculating circuit and supplying the digital output signal to the output node. Since the value of the input analog signal is retrieved from the digital code signal on the basis of the difference, the analog-to-digital unit is free from any secular changes and any variation of operational ambient.

The sampling frequency ratio measuring circuit may include a counter and a count outputting circuit which measures a count for plural word periods of the output sample and outputs this count as the measured value of the sampling frequency ratio.

    摘要: An audio reproduction characteristic control device reproduces various sound fields by producing reflected sounds of a reproduced source signal. Frequency response characteristic correction parameters for correcting a frequency response characteristic which varies with a reproduction environment to a standard characteristic or other predetermined characteristic is prestored in a memory and one of these parameters is read out in accordance with a designated reproduction environment and, if necessary, additionally with a designated sound field whereby the frequency response characteristic is corrected. In another aspect of the invention, reflected sound signals for front left, front right, rear left and rear right positions of a designated sound field are generated by operating input source signals with reflected sound characteristic parameters and these reflected sound signals are added to the source signals to be propagated from four directions in a space inside of an automobile. An impression of presence in the automobile thereby is improved.
