摘要: A switching power supply apparatus has a transformer having a primary winding and a secondary winding, a first switching element connected in series with the primary winding, a first control circuit for controlling the on-time of the first switching element whereby the output is controlled, and a rectification circuit for rectifying the output from the secondary winding, whereby input voltage is applied to the first winding when the first switching element is on and causes current to flow therein so that energy is stored in the transformer, and the energy stored in the transformer is released as electric current from the secondary winding when the first switching element is off, and the current is rectified in the rectification circuit to obtain an output. The rectification circuit comprises a rectification diode, a second switching element connected in parallel to the rectification diode, a second switching element drive winding provided in the transformer to generate a voltage which causes the second switching element to be on, and a second control circuit for turning on the second switching element by use of a voltage from the second switching element drive winding, and turning off the second switching element after a time determined by a predetermined time constant by use of a further switching element connected to the control terminal of the second switching element.

摘要: A switching power supply device that can reduce switching loss to obtain high efficiency. Additionally, the number of components of control circuits and the cost of switching elements can be reduced, with a transformer made compact and lightweight. In this switching power supply device, one end of a series circuit comprising a primary winding of the transformer, an inductor, and a capacitor is connected to a junction of a first switching circuit and a second switching circuit. The other end of the series circuit is connected to an input power source. A secondary winding of the transformer is connected to a rectifying and smoothing circuit including a rectifying element. In addition, in order to perform a self-excited oscillation, there are arranged first and second control circuits. The first control circuit controls a time elapsing until the first switching circuit turns on after the generation of a voltage in a first driving winding of the transformer and a time elapsing until the first switching circuit turns off. Similarly, the second control circuit controls a time elapsing from the generation of a voltage in a second driving winding of the transformer to the turn-on of the second switching circuit and a time elapsing until the second switching circuit turns off.

摘要: A self-oscillation type converter comprises a transformer and a switching transistor. The switching transistor is connected in series to a primary winding of the transformer. A start current is applied from a power supply line to the switching transistor through a start resistor, so that the switching transistor is rendered conductive. A positive feedback is performed through an application of a constant current from a constant current circuit to a base of the switching transistor in response to a voltage generated from a feedback winding, whereby the switching transistor is turned on rapidly. A CR time constant circuit is connected to an output of the constant current circuit. An output of the CR time constant circuit is applied to the base of the transistor, a transistor Q2 is turned on after a lapse of time determined by a time constant of the time constant circuit, so that the switching transistor is forcibly turned off. A voltage outputted to a secondary winding is detected by a voltage comparing circuit. If the outputted voltage becomes higher than a reference voltage, a resistance value of the CR time constant circuit is decreased by a photocoupler, maintaining a turning-on time period of the switching transistor to be constant.

摘要: A switching power-supply unit uses a time when a transformer voltage Vt inverts due to a rectifier diode (Ds1) entering a non-conducting state as a trigger, and a first switching control circuit (CNT1) turns on a first switching element (Q1) after a predetermined delay time passes. A second switching control circuit (CNT2) turns on a second switching element (Q2) using a time when the transformer voltage Vt inverts due to turning off of the first switching element (Q1) as a trigger. A third switching control circuit (CNT3) turns on a third switching element (Q3) using turning off of the second switching element (Q2) as a trigger. The first switching control circuit (CNT1) determines a period ton1 of the first switching element (Q1) such that a first output voltage Vo1 is set to a predetermined value. The second switching control circuit (CNT2) determines an ON-period ton2 of the second switching element (Q2) such that a second output voltage Vo2 is set to a predetermined value. The third switching control circuit (CNT3) determines an ON-period ton3 of the third switching element (Q3) such that a third output voltage Vo3 is set to a predetermined value.

摘要: A self-excited oscillation type switching power source device is constructed such that when a power source switch is turned on, and the voltage of an input power source increases, the voltage at a point a is increased. When the voltage exceeds a predetermined voltage, a first transistor is turned on, and a second transistor is turned off. Then, a first switching element, when a starting voltage is applied to the control terminal thereof, is turned on, and voltage is developed in a first drive winding. This voltage is fed back to the point a via a feedback circuit. As a result, the transistor is accelerated to reach the on-state. The second transistor is accelerated to reach the off-state. As a result, the first switching element is rapidly turned on, and the oscillation is started.

摘要: A transformer comprises first and second flat coils stacked with each other. Each of first and second flat coils comprises a conductive wire which is wound in a flat spiral shape having a through hole at a center thereof such that the conductive wire has an inner end and an outer end at an inner periphery and an outer periphery of the spiral shape, respectively. The inner end of the first flat coil passes through the through hole of the second flat coil, thus reducing the overall thickness of the transformer because both inner ends pass over only one flat coil.

摘要: A switching power supply unit includes first and second switching circuits which alternately turn first and second switching elements on and off with an intermediate period in which both are turned off, and energy is stored in a primary winding of a transformer during an ON period of the first switching element and the energy is discharged from a secondary winding of the transformer during an OFF period of the first switching element. A control circuit includes an OFF period extending circuit connected to a control terminal of the first switching element, such that a transistor remains turned on for a desired period even after the energy has been discharged from the secondary winding, extending the OFF period of the first switching element for the desired period. In a light load operation, a phototransistor in the second control circuit is turned on so that the ON period of the second switching element will be shorter than the time required to discharge the energy from the secondary winding.
