    摘要: A method of manufacturing a liquid crystal display device in which liquid crystal is sealed between substrates using a one drop fill method, and a one drop fill apparatus used for the method, and particularly a method of manufacturing a liquid crystal display device using a one drop fill method that enables reduction of product defects of the liquid crystal display device and realization of a stable production process, and a one drop fill apparatus used for the method are provided. Dropping of liquid crystal is controlled so that the dropping quantity of the liquid crystal is reduced in an area including the vicinity of a seal material on the left side with a relatively narrow cell gap width while the dropping quantity of the liquid crystal is increased in an area including the vicinity of the seal material on the right side with a relatively broad cell gap width. Alternatively, dropping of the liquid crystal is controlled so that the number of times the liquid crystal is dropped is reduced in the area including the vicinity of the seal material on the left side while the number of times the liquid crystal is dropped is increased in the area including the vicinity of the seal material on the right side without changing the dropping quantity of one drop.

    摘要: The invention relates to a method of manufacturing a liquid crystal display for which the one drop filling method is used to fill the gap between the substrates thereof and provides a method of manufacturing a liquid crystal display which can achieve high display characteristics. Droplets of a liquid crystal are dispensed in positions associated with exposure joint lines at boundaries between respective couples of adjoining regions to be exposed. Since this prevents stripe-like irregularities and grid-like irregularities from overlapping each other, display irregularities become less visually perceptible.

    摘要: A plurality of main seal patterns and dummy seal patterns are formed by a sealant on one of substrates. The plurality of main seal patterns individually enclose each of a plurality of display areas. The dummy seal patterns individually enclose the plurality of main seal patterns, and sides of the dummy seal patterns facing sides of the one substrate are all interconnected. These formations enable constant vacuum levels to be maintained the inside and the outside of the main seal patterns when the inside of a chamber of an assembling device is recovered to atmospheric pressure. Therefore, distortion of substrates is impeded in the vicinity of the main seal patterns, and degradation of display quality can be prevented.
