    摘要: A self shift type gas discharge panel in which the display screen comprises a plurality of shift lines arranged in parallel in the vertical direction, and a system and method for driving the panel. The display screen is divided into several sections both in the horizontal and vertical directions to form a plurality of display areas, and the shift operation can be performed independently in each of these display areas. While the forward shift operation is conducted in a single selected display area, a reciprocating or sway shift operation, or a stationary display, obtain selectively in the remaining display areas with such a configuration, so that an editing operation can be realized which is similar to that realized by the existing well known matrix display gas discharge panel. As a result, the display function can be much improved.

The pulse trains are applied cyclically and sequentially to each phase of a multi-phase display cell array, each cycle comprising several unit periods, and the array having regularity in its arrangement. This facilitates control of timing for phase switching, and accurate shift operation can be realized by variation of the basic pulse trains.

    摘要: A digital amplifier causes a gate drive circuit to drive output transistors, and switches a power source voltage supplied from a variable voltage power source, thereby amplifying an amplitude of a 1-bit digital signal outputted from a ΔΣ block. A variable voltage power source varies a driving voltage, by which an upper gate drive circuit drives output transistors, as a voltage obtained by adding (i) a constant voltage supplied to a lower gate drive circuit to (ii) a power source voltage, so as to correspond to the power source voltage. Thus, the driving voltage is minimized without influencing a switching operation of the output transistors. As a result, it is possible to reduce power consumption of the upper gate drive circuit in turning down the volume.

    摘要: A recycling automatic document feeder (RADF) for use with a copier or similar equipment for feeding a stack of documents to an illuminating position one by one, then returning each document, and repeating the cycle to illuminate the documents a plurality of times. A gate pawl is located movable into and out of contact with a document table. A feeding section has feeding means for feeding, a stack of documents on the table one by one. A transporting section transports the document fed from the feeding section to a predetermined illuminating position and, then, discharges the document. A returning section turns over the document transported by transporting means. The returning section returns the document discharged to the top of the stack of documents. Sensors sense a condition in which the documents are fed or transported. A controller performs control in response to output signals of the sensors such that when the stack of documents is to be illuminated a plurality of times, the gate pawl is moved away from the table after the illumination of the last document of the first cycle to start the feed of the second cycle, then the gate pawl is brought into contact with the top of the stack, and then the gate pawl is moved away from the top of the stack to transport the remaining documents to a feed position one by one, dividing the first and second cycles of documents.

    摘要: In an image forming apparatus, a device for turning a paper of the present invention has a transport roller constantly rotatable in a predetermined direction for paper transport. A reverse transport member is positioned downstream of the transport roller in the predetermined direction, and transports the paper, transported by the transport roller, in the direction opposite to the predetermined direction. A turn guide has a first guide face for guiding the paper toward the transport roller, and a second guide face for guiding in a paper discharge direction the paper being transported by the reverse transport member in the direction opposite to the predetermined direction. The end portion of the first and second guide faces close to the reverse transport member extends in the direction in which the end portion intersects the periphery of the transport roller. Hence, the end portion is angularly retracted by the paper, being guided by the first guide face, to a position coincident with a line tangential to the transport roller. The end of the turn guide is configured such that the first and second guide portions are tapered. The device is miniature and reduces resistance to act on the incoming paper and surely urges it against the transport roller to generate a driving force. As a result, the paper is prevented from being skewed or caught or from jamming the path.
