    摘要: In a digital signal reproducing apparatus having a head on a rotating drum for reproducing a digital signal which includes information data and which was recorded on a magnetic tape running at a speed different from the tape speed during reproducing of the digital signal therefrom; the tape speed and the drum rotation speed are detected during reproducing and corresponding tape speed and drum speed signals, resectively, are generated, a clock signal is formed from the digital signal reproduced by the head and is used in decoding the information data from the reproduced digital signal, and a control device receives the tape speed and drumspeed signals for controlling the drum speed in accordance with the tape speed when the tape speed is at least as large as a first value and for maintaning a fixed drum speed while changing the clock signal in accordance with the tape speed when the tape speed is at least as large as a second value greater than the first value.

    摘要: Disclosed is a head system including a plurality of recording heads for azimuth recording. The system includes a first recording head having a plurality of magnetic gaps having a first azimuth angle, and a second recording head having a plurality of magnetic gaps having a second azimuth angle different from the first azimuth angle. After first magnetization patterns are formed on a recording medium by the first recording head, second magnetization patterns are formed by overwriting side edge portions in the formation direction of the first magnetization patterns by the second recording head. This makes it possible to prevent the worsening of the accuracy of the magnetization pattern width due to a relative height stagger (offset) between the heads, to thereby enhance the accuracy of the magnetization pattern width, and to achieve high-density recording.

    摘要: In a data recording apparatus, the period of the first clock signal corresponding to the record data is multiplied by the stated numeric corresponding to the transfer rate with the clock signal forming structure, so that the second clock signal is formed. And, on the basis of the record data and the second clock signal, the recording current corresponding to the transfer rate that is formed by highlighting the high-frequency component in accordance with the transfer rate and by limiting the band in accordance with the transfer rate is generated with the recording current generating structure. Then, the recording data is recorded on the recording medium with the recording structure on the basis of the recording current, therefore, even if the transfer rate varies, it is able to equalize highlighting operation of high-frequency component of the recording current and to equalize band limitation so as to keep the frequency characteristics approximately constant. In this way, it is able to form nearly identical magnetization pattern on a recording medium even in the case where the transfer rate varies.
