Abstract:
The invention provides an abrasion detecting probe for a brake pad which does not require insert-moulding and in which production costs are low. A probe 20 is housed in base components 35 and 36, which are snap-fitted together. In this manner, the terminal 22 can be attached within the base member 21 in a precise predetermined position by the simple operation of joining the base components 35 and 36 together. Therefore, as opposed to a conventional probe, insert-moulding is not required and the probe can be manufactured simply and cheaply. A sleeve 50 may provide an audible brake wear warning.
Abstract:
To prevent a detecting electric wire (20) of a brake pad from moving, a stopper member (12) is provided in a holder (10). Two wires (22) extending a wire holder, are made to intersect close to the posterior of a stopper (12), and are maintained in this intersecting state by a cable tie (13). The stopper member (12) engages the intersecting portion (23) of the wire (20) in a posterior direction, thereby preventing the wire (20) from moving in an anterior direction even under a strong pulling force from the rotor R.
Abstract:
A mount construction of a wear detection probe for a brake pad is provided which is capable of absorbing an image caused by a contact of the wear detection probe with a rotor. Coil springs 42 are mounted on bolts 41 used to mount a bracket 30 on a support base 12, and the bracket 30 is held in close contact with the support base 12 by biasing forces thereof. When the probe 20 is brought into contact with a rotor upon the application of braking, the coil springs 42 are compressively deformed, thereby absorbing an impact caused by a contact of the rotor 10 and the probe 20. The mount construction of the probe 20 has an enhanced reliability by absorbing the impact on the probe 20.
Abstract:
A technique to transfer a first telephony session between a first telephony device and a second telephony device from being conducted through a first network interface of the first telephony device to being conducted through a second network interface of the first telephony device includes the following. A second telephony session between the first network interface and the second network interface is initiated, and subsequently a media termination point of the first telephony session is changed from the first network interface to the second network interface. The technique further includes changing a media termination point of the second telephony session from the first network interface to a location associated with the second telephony device.
Abstract:
A ground wire connection nut (14A) and a cover-fixing nut (14B) are molded in a case (12) at positions shifted in an axial direction thereof. Caps (17) are mounted on each nut (14A, 14B). First and second receiving surfaces (33A, 33B) are formed on each cap (17) at positions shifted in the axial direction. First and second positioning portions (30A, 30B) are formed in a die (36) and contact the first and second receiving surfaces (33A, 33B) respectively. An axial length of each positioning portion (30) is set according to the specified position of each nut (14A, 14B). The same kind of the caps (17) can be used commonly for the nuts (14A, 14B) to reduce the manufacturing cost.
Abstract:
A wear detection probe for detection of wear of a braking member is mounted in or adjacent to the braking member. The wear detection probe includes a holder having a detection wire in a wiring path. The detection wire has a folded portion, and two portions extending from the folded portion in a direction substantially parallel to the surface of the brake rotor. An apex of the folded portion of the detection wire is nearer than the straight portions to the wear surface of the holder, so that after a predetermined amount of wear, the folded portion is broken without breaking the straight portions. The probe is compact, and the wire remains securely in position during use.
Abstract:
A wear detector in a brake pad is disclosed including a projection on the face of the detector extending substantially perpendicular thereto. A U-shaped signal wire is bent around the projection and spaced apart therefrom so that, when the wire is rendered discontinuous by abrasion of the brake pad, the detector body is not damaged and a signal is activated, thereby indicating that a replacement of the brake pad is required.
Abstract:
A method of packet transfer is provided to resolve the problem of fraudulent access to user LANs through falsified source address so that only those pre-registered terminals are permitted to transfer packets with specific data networks. Each user LAN is assigned an identifier to identify respective user LAN beforehand. Packet network stores terminal information including terminal addresses, identifiers assigned to one and more user LANs that are permitted to communicate with each packet terminal and information necessary for terminal authentication beforehand. When the packet terminal starts a communication through a base station, the packet network authenticates the packet terminal, and if it is an unauthorized terminal, the packet network informs a denial for communication to the packet terminal. If an allowance for communication is obtained by authentication, the packet terminal encrypts data to be transmitted and sends a packet to the packet network with an attachment containing the encrypted data, identifiers for the selected user LAN among one and more user LANs, the destination address and the source address. Packet network receives the packet, and while decoding the encrypted data included in the received packet, detects tampering, and if tampering is detected, the received packet is discarded, but if there is no tampering, it checks whether the identity of source address and the identifier is registered in the terminal information, and if the identity is registered, the received packet is sent to the destination address, and if the identity is not registered, the received packet is discarded.
Abstract:
A wear detection probe for a braking element includes a holder with opposed front and rear ends. A portion of the holder near the front end is configured to retain a detection wire. Thus, after sufficient wear of the brake and the holder, the detection wire will be broken to produce a signal indicative of brake wear. The holder includes two arrangement grooves extending from the abradeable portion of the detection wire to the rear end of the holder. The wear detection probe further includes a rib. The extreme rear end of the rib may include a slot, and a heat shrinkable tube may surround the wires and engage partly in the slot.
Abstract:
A female terminal fitting 20 is provide to prevent solder portions from shaking in a connector for a printed circuit board. The female terminal fitting 20 includes a connection portion 21, a board connection piece 22 continuously connected with the rear end of the connection portion 21 and a solder portion 22A formed at the end of the board connection piece 22. A pair of elastic holding portions 23 extend from opposite sides of the rear end of the connection portion 21. When the terminal fitting 20 is mounted into a terminal cavity 11, the elastic holding portions 23 are brought into contact with the inner walls of the terminal cavity 11 by their elastic force. As a result, displacement of the terminal fitting 20 and shaking of the solder portion 22B can be prevented.
