The invention relates to a method for carrying out the allocation of tire pressure control devices (4a to 4d) to wheel positions in a tire pressure control system of a motor vehicle. Each tire pressure control device (4a to 4d) transmits, at certain time intervals, its individual identifier and a lengthened high frequency signal to the central unit (10) of the tire pressure control system. The high frequency signals have an individual trace which is dependent upon the rotational angle of the wheel and on the time because of the geometry of the wheel box and as a consequence of the rotation of the wheel. In the central unit (10), a time point is fixed from two sequential high frequency signals at which the wheel assumes the same angular position in each case with this wheel being the wheel from which the signals were transmitted. The corresponding wheel has made an integer number of revolutions between the two time points. In the central unit (10), with the aid of the signals of the rpm sensors (12a to 12d), the wheel position is determined in which the wheel has made an integer number of revolutions between the two time points. The corresponding wheel position is allocated to the individual identifier transmitted from the tire pressure control device (4a to 4d).

At least one signal processing device is used for processing and evaluating the speed output signal. The rotational speed of the motor vehicle wheel (4) is measured in that the rotational axis (2) is aligned horizontally so that a periodic measurement signal is generated in the acceleration sensor (10) by the gravitational force. The frequency of the measurement signal corresponds to the rotational speed of the motor vehicle wheel (4) about the rotational axis (2). The invention also relates to an air pressure control system in which the rotational speed of the motor vehicle wheel is measured.

The invention relates to a method for monitoring the air pressure of a tire of a motor vehicle with a tire pressure control system. The invention further relates to a motor vehicle having a tire pressure control system with which the method can be carried out. The tire pressure control system includes tire pressure control devices (4a to 4d) on each of the wheels (2a to 2d), which transmit to a central unit, at regular intervals, a data transmission which contains, inter alia, the air pressure measured in the tires. The central unit generates a warning signal when the determined air pressure deviates by more than a pregiven amount from the stored air pressure. The motor vehicle contains a second tire pressure control system which operates independently of the first tire pressure control system and monitors the air pressure in the tires of the motor vehicle at least when a transmission pause, which is too long, occurs between two data transmissions of one of the tire pressure control devices (4a to 4d).

The invention also relates to a data transmission system which includes a receiver (2) and at least one transmitter (4a to 4d). The receiver (2) is operable in a stand-by mode and in a data-receive mode and transfers with the aid of a switch-on signal from the stand-by mode into the data-receive mode. The transmitters (4a to 4d) transfer, via a data transmission, information to the receiver (2) as to when, after this data transmission, the next data transmission is to be expected from the corresponding transmitter (4a to 4d). The switch-on signal is generated in the receiver (2) shortly ahead of the time point at which the next data transmission is to be expected from the transmitters (4a to 4d) so that the receiver (2) transfers from the stand-by mode into the data-receive mode. The time interval at which the receiver (2) is in the data-receive mode can therefore be minimized and therefore the energy consumption of the receiver (2) is minimized.

The invention is directed to a method for allocating the wheel positions to air pressure control devices (6a to 6d) in an air pressure control system and is directed to an air pressure control system for carrying out the method. First measuring devices are provided which are permanently allocated to air pressure control devices 6a to 6d, and a second set of measuring devices 4a to 4d is provided which are permanently assigned to the wheel positions of the motor vehicle. The first measuring devices and the second measuring devices measure a same measurement value. The measurement values measured by the first measuring devices 16a to 16d and the measurement values measured by the second measuring devices 4a to 4d are transmitted to a central unit 10. In addition, the air pressure control devices each transmit an individual identifier to the central unit 10. The central unit 10 then allocates each air pressure control device to a wheel position at which the measurement value from a first measuring device 16a to 16d is sufficiently close to that measured by a second measuring device 4a to 4d.

The specification discloses a prefabricated wall system providing a wall frame to which plastering or a covering of dry wall sheeting may be applied. The system includes a series of wall frame sections, preferably formed from steel channel members, which sections are spaced apart and supported therebetween by channel spacers having stop means which abut the sections. Each wall frame section has vertical studs secured at top and bottom by horizontal stringers. The stringers may include an elongated slot extending for their complete length to admit utility connections within the wall and to allow cutting and telescoping of the stringers for shortening the wall section. Concealed, slotted channels may be secured to the studs intermediate the edges of the sheet covering material to provide support for shelving along the finished walls.
