    摘要: Insulated wallboards are exposed interior insulation panels, for walls and ceilings, in occupiable spaces, that can be taped, finished, textured, and painted, which eliminates the need for gypsum board, and reduces or eliminates the need for other insulation, such as wall cavity insulation and exterior insulation. Insulated wallboard panels are formed by applying various combinations of thermal reflection layers such as aluminum foil; moisture resistance layer; or reinforcement layers over an insulating core. An enhanced surface or enhanced surface layer is provided on the interior-facing surface of the panel, to accept joint compound, paint, plaster, texture, or other interior finish. The core may be phenolic or other material with appropriate insulating and fire-retardant properties. The insulated wallboards may be applied directly to wood or metal framing, masonry, CMU, tilt-up concrete walls; or over existing gypsum board or other interior surfaces to retrofit additional insulation without disrupting exterior walls or roof.

    摘要: A one-piece stud has a central longitudinal side; a first longitudinal side joined at a 90° angle to the first end of the central longitudinal side; and a second longitudinal side joined at a 90° angle to the second end of the central longitudinal side. The central side has a first and a second planar surface joined by an acute isosceles triangular channel midway between. The first longitudinal side is formed of a third and a fourth planar surface joined by an acute isosceles triangular channel midway between. The second longitudinal side has a fifth and a sixth planar surface joined by an acute isosceles triangular channel midway between. At an end opposite the 90° joint, the first longitudinal side and the second longitudinal side have free ends each forming a gapped right isosceles triangle. The longitudinal channels increase the axial capacity and the moment capacity of the stud.

    摘要: A fire-resistance angle piece and related assemblies include at least one multi-layer portion, which can provide an insulation space and/or a sacrificial layer of the angle piece. The angle piece can comprise vent openings to a space between adjacent layers of the angle piece. In some configurations, adjacent layers of the angle piece can be sealed to one another, such as along an edge portion that can be opposite the vent openings (if present) and/or a fold of the angle piece or other closed end that creates adjacent layers. Intumescent may or may not be included on the angle piece.
