摘要: An apparatus is provided with a dampening unit coupled to an engine. The apparatus further includes a control unit communicably coupled to the dampening unit. The control unit detects a gear shift in a transmission unit associated with the engine. The control unit further determines a dampening duration of the dampening unit at the detected gear shift. The dampening duration corresponds to a time taken for the dampening unit to absorb torsional vibrations of the engine at the detected gear shift. The control unit further compares the determined dampening duration at the detected gear shift with a preset dampening duration at a preset gear shift. The control unit further determines, based on the comparison, a torque control amount for the dampening unit to absorb the torsional vibrations of the engine. The control unit further controls the dampening unit based on the determined torque control amount.

The method includes detecting at least one of reverse gear engagement or reverse movement of the vehicle; wherein a feedback control of the internal combustion engine is switched from open-loop control to closed-loop control upon detection of at least one of a reverse gear activation or reverse movement of the vehicle.

摘要: A system can control an engine during a shift event of a multi-ratio transmission driven by the engine. The engine can include a throttle valve configured to selectively regulate a flow rate of air entering the engine. The system can include a controller configured to receive shift data indicative of an execution of the shift event by the multi-ratio transmission, receive first sensor data indicative of a temperature of the engine and second sensor data indicative of a temperature of the multi-ratio transmission, obtain a transient air value based on the temperature of the engine and the temperature of the multi-ratio transmission when the controller has received the shift data, and signal the throttle valve to move to a position corresponding to the transient air value when the controller has received the shift data.

摘要: An apparatus, method, and system for controlling an idle speed of an internal combustion engine during certain vehicle component operations to minimize unwanted motion and vibration. A transmission neutral engagement, a transmission forward or reverse gear engagement, and a vehicle speed are detected. An engine target idle speed is set to a first speed during the neutral engagement. An engine target idle speed is set to a second idle speed when a vehicle speed is less than a threshold speed and the forward or reverse gear is activated. The vehicle target idle speed is set to a third idle speed when the vehicle speed is greater than a threshold speed while the forward or reverse gear is activated, wherein the first target idle speed, second target idle speed and third target idle speed are different engine speeds.
