Abstract: A touch sensing device including a housing, a movable part, a covering, and a lifting actuator. The movable part is relatively movable within an opening of the housing relative to an edge portion of the opening, between first and second heights. The covering includes a flexible layer covering at least the edge portion and the movable part. The flexible layer includes first and second portions directly or indirectly fixed to the edge portion and to the movable part, respectively. The flexible layer can partly flex and stretch or partly shrink in accordance with a relative movement of the second portion relative to the first portion, from a third height to a fourth height, or vice versa. The lifting actuator can move the movable part or the edge portion to relatively move the movable part, from the first height to the second height, or vice versa, relative to the edge portion.

The second adhesive layer bonds together the bonding face of the second layer and the second bonding face of the retarder layer, is more flexible than the first adhesive layer, and has such hardness as to get distorted by the step and thereby absorb height of the step.

Abstract: An optical laminate structure including first and second layers each having a bonding face, at least one step on at least one of the bonding faces, a retarder layer between the first and second layers, and first and second adhesive layers. Abstract: A sensor unit attachable to a hole of a housing, closed by an overlay on one side in the first direction, from the other side in the first direction. The sensor unit includes a body, a sensor, a vibration generator, a vibration damper, and a fixable part. The body includes a first portion and a second portion on the other side in the first direction relative to the first portion. The sensor provided at the body detects a contact of a detection target with the overlay. The vibration generator can vibrate the body and sensor. The fixable part is provided at the second portion of the body. With the first portion accommodated in the hole, the fixable part is fixed to the housing from the other side in the first direction via the vibration damper, and the vibration damper is at least partly interposed between the fixable part and housing.

A raised portion that is raised on the front side of the upholstery is located near the light-transmitting region in the non-light-transmitting region of the upholstery. The protruding portion of the base member is placed in the raised portion from the back side of the upholstery.
