    Abstract: A first communication device receives a first signal, the first signal being transmitted by a second communication device using a first spatial-domain transmit filter; determines, based on the first signal, a Line-of-Sight characteristic associated with the first spatial-domain transmit filter, and transmits a first control message to the second communication device, the first control message indicating the Line-of-Sight characteristic associated with the first spatial-domain transmit filter.

    Abstract: According to a first aspect, a client device is configured to: transmit a beam report, for example to a network device, wherein the beam report comprises information about a set of N transmit, Tx, beams in a downlink and measurement values related to the N Tx beams; obtain information about selected K Tx beams being a subset of the set of N Tx beams; obtain mapping information between K indicators and the selected K Tx beams, wherein each of the K indicator identifies one of the selected K Tx beams; and receive, for example from the network device, a downlink, DL, signal using the obtained information about the selected K Tx beams and the mapping information. According to another aspect a network device is provided. According to another aspects methods of operating the devices are provided and a computer program.

    Abstract: A network node receives a first signal in a first grant-free transmission from a client device, wherein the first signal comprises data having a first redundancy version and having a corresponding first transmission attempt number, in a first resource unit; determines an identity of the client device based on the first signal, establishes that a data decoding error associated with the first grant-free transmission has occurred if the data in the first signal cannot be decoded correctly; receives a second signal in a second transmission from the client device, wherein the second signal comprises the data having a second redundancy version and having a corresponding second transmission attempt number, in a second resource unit; and establishes that a data decoding error associated with the second transmission has occurred if the data in the second signal cannot be decoded correctly.

    Abstract: The application relates to a receiving device for a communication system, where the receiving device includes a receiver configured to receive a Multiple-Input and Multiple-Output (MIMO) communication signal including a plurality of transmit symbols belonging to at least one complex-valued symbol constellation, a processing circuit configured to affine-transform the at least one complex-valued symbol constellation to obtain at least one affine-transformed complex-valued symbol constellation, compute a decision metric; based on the at least one affine-transformed complex-valued symbol constellation, detect the transmit symbols based on the computed decision metric.
