Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention relate to an auxiliary method, apparatus, and system for diagnosing a failure of a virtual machine. An operation and maintenance system receives a failure message when a virtual machine fails; obtains running information of the virtual machine according to identifier information carried in the message, where the running information is used for diagnosing the failure of the virtual machine; generates graphic multi-dimensional display information of the virtual machine according to the running information; and sends the display information to a user end for displaying. The present invention provides an auxiliary method for diagnosing a failure of a virtual machine. The method may provide correlation analysis for diagnosing a failure of a virtual machine, allow the user end to diagnose the cause of the failure of the virtual machine in a comprehensive multi-dimensional manner, and improve the convenience and accuracy of diagnosing the virtual machine.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and a device for adjusting memory of a virtual machine. The method includes: checking memory usages of virtual machines according to a preset memory usage threshold to determine multiple virtual machines whose memory is to be adjusted; determining, according to parameters preselected by the multiple virtual machines whose memory is to be adjusted, priority levels of the virtual machines whose memory is to be adjusted; and adjusting, according to the priority levels of the virtual machines whose memory is to be adjusted, memory of the virtual machines whose memory is to be adjusted. According to embodiments of the present invention, memory of a virtual machine on which a key application or service is deployed is adjusted in time and prevents a process of a priority service from being affected due to delayed memory adjustment.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for transmitting media stream data in a cloud computing system are provided. Before the establishment of a session between a Thin Client (TC) and a media gateway, the TC and the media gateway may exchange control signaling through the Virtual Machine (VM). After the session is established, the TC and the media gateway can transmit media stream data directly by using the established session. Due to the media stream data not passing through the VM, the VM does not need to encode or decode media stream data, and therefore the Central Processing Unit (CPU) occupation rate of the VM will not be high. As a result, the quantity of VMs that can run on a corresponding physical server can be further increased so as to improve the resource utilization rate of the physical server.
Abstract:
A method for allocating a central processing unit resource to a virtual machine, including determining, according to a change in the number of virtual machines in an advanced resource pool, the number of allocated physical cores in the advanced resource pool; and adjusting, according to the number of the allocated physical cores in the advanced resource pool, the number of allocated physical cores in a default resource pool, where the advanced resource pool and the default resource pool are resource pools that are obtained by dividing physical cores of a central processing unit according to service levels of the resource pools.

Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for establishing a session between a thin client (TC) and a media gateway for media stream data transmitting are provided. The TC sends media stream transmission information of the TC to the media gateway through a virtual machine (VM), and receives media stream information of the media gateway from the VM. A session between the TC and the media gateway is established. After the session is established, the TC and the media gateway transmit media stream data directly by taste the established session.
