Abstract:
This application provides a method for transmitting data on a ring network. The ring network includes two adjacent FlexE cross-connection rings, each FlexE cross-connection ring includes at least three nodes, the two FlexE cross-connection rings have at least one common node, the common node carries a cross-ring end-to-end working path, and each of the two FlexE cross-connection rings includes one ring-shaped protection path. Because there is a protection path between any two adjacent nodes in the two FlexE cross-connection rings, if a link fault occurs in the common node, a node adjacent to the common node may transmit data from one FlexE cross-connection ring to another FlexE cross-connection ring by using the ring-shaped protection path. Therefore, reliability of the ring network including the at least two FlexE cross-connection rings is improved.

This application provides a method for transmitting data on a FlexE cross ring. At least three nodes forming the FlexE cross ring include a first node, a second node, and a third node. There is a protection path and a working path between any two adjacent nodes, and the protection path is a backup path of the working path. In the solution provided in this application, the protection path between nodes is established on the FlexE cross ring. In this way, when a FlexE group between any two adjacent nodes on the FlexE cross ring is faulty, a node on the FlexE cross ring can still complete data forwarding.

Embodiments of the present invention disclose a method and a device for processing an interconnected ring in multi-protocol label switching. The method includes classifying to-be-processed services as a single ring service for an original ring and a cross-ring service for an interconnected ring corresponding to the original ring, determining information about a virtual point corresponding to the interconnected ring, creating a virtual channel of the original ring according to the information about the virtual point, using the virtual channel to forward the cross-ring service to the interconnected ring, and processing the single ring service according to a pre-created actual channel of the original ring.

A tunnel management method includes sending, by a head node of an end-to-end segment routing traffic engineering (SR-TE) tunnel, an operation, administration, and maintenance (OAM) packet to an intermediate node of the SR-TE tunnel, setting an outer label stack of the OAM packet to enable a stack bottom label to point to the intermediate node, receiving an identifying the OAM packet by an intermediate node, obtaining, by the intermediate node, OAM information related to a tunnel between the head node and the intermediate node of the SR-TE tunnel, and sending, by one or more intermediate nodes of the SR-TE tunnel, OAM information obtained by the intermediate nodes to a control management device.
