Abstract: A power consumption management method and a power consumption management device are provided. When a power module of a power supply for a server is faulty, a power consumption management device receives fault information sent by the power supply, and reduces first power consumption, calculated when the power module works normally, of the server by a first value to second power consumption of the server based on the fault information. The first value is not less than a reduced value, calculated when the power module is faulty, of power consumption of the server. In addition, the power consumption management device adjusts the second power consumption of the server based on a power consumption capping value of the server. According to the application, a breakdown of the server is avoided, and the power utilization after the power module is faulty is further improved.

Abstract: This application provides a storage system includes disks grouped into disk groups. One disk group processes an IO service, and another disk group is in an energy-saving state or a sleep state and provides a standby disk for a previous disk group. IO load is focused on a disk in one disk group, so that a requirement for processing the IO service is satisfied by using this group of disks. In addition, the another disk group may save energy or sleep, so that more energy consumption can be reduced. Moreover, resource pools of different levels are implemented by using a plurality of disk groups. When a disk in a previous disk group is in shortage, a capacity of the previous disk group can be expanded by using a next disk group.

The control signal can be used to enable the ICT device to disconnect the appliance input socket from a conductive electrode of the direct current connector after the ICT device enters a no load state.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a method for adjusting device power consumption including: grouping multiple devices into at least one device group, setting a group power consumption ceiling threshold (PCCT) for the device group, and setting a device PCCT for each device in the group; obtaining current total power consumption of the group, and when the current total power consumption of the group exceeds the group PCCT, determining whether current power consumption of each device in the group exceeds the device PCCT of the device; when the current power consumption of each device exceeds the device PCCT of the device, reducing power consumption of each device to the device PCCT of the device; and when current power consumption of a device exceeds a device PCCT of the device, setting a new PCCT for the device, and reducing power consumption of the device to/or less than the new PCCT.
