Abstract: A packet forwarding method includes a first network device receiving a first message from a second network device via a second egress port of the second network device, where the first message measures a phase difference, and where the phase difference is a phase difference between a switching time of one of a plurality of first buffers of a first egress port of the first network device and a switching time of one of a plurality of second buffers of the second egress port of the second network device with a link delay taken into consideration. The first network device determines the phase difference based on the first message. Then, the first network device schedules, based on the phase difference, a second data packet sent via the first egress port.

Abstract: A service traffic adjustment method includes a first controller obtaining a first limit value of a traffic parameter and a second limit value of the traffic parameter. The first controller obtains a target value of the traffic parameter based on the first limit value of the traffic parameter, the second limit value of the traffic parameter, and configuration information of a forwarding device through which the service flow passes. The target value of the traffic parameter meets a delay requirement of the service flow, the target value falls within a range determined based on the first limit value of the traffic parameter and the second limit value of the traffic parameter, and the first limit value is not equal to the second limit value. The first controller sends the target value of the traffic parameter.

Abstract: This application discloses a service level configuration methods and apparatuses, and belongs to the field of communications network technologies. According to an example method, a target service level used by a first forwarding node to forward a data flow is directly determined based on a transmission parameter of the data flow and service level information of the first forwarding node, and service level configuration is performed on the first forwarding node. Because a transmission parameter of the target service level of the first forwarding node and the transmission parameter of the data flow meet a first target condition, if the first target condition is a delay requirement required by a special service and the first forwarding node transmits the data flow by using the target service level, transmission of the data flow may meet the delay requirement required by the special service.
