    Abstract: A Base Transceiver Station (BTS) and a method for wireless communication with a User Equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system. The BTS comprises a Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) antenna array configured for beamforming and MIMO transmission. The BTS further comprises a processing circuit, configured for supporting same or separate downlink precoding for a control plane and a user plane by modifying phase excitation of the MIMO antenna array and causing a transceiver to create an antenna beam by providing different phase for each antenna element of the MIMO antenna array. The BTS also comprises a transceiver, configured for transmitting a signal in the antenna beam via the MIMO antenna array, to be received by the UE.

    Abstract: Radio network node comprises a plurality of antenna sub arrays, forming a multiple antenna array which is configured for beamforming, spatial multiplexing and Multiple Input Multiple Output, MIMO, transmission/reception, and further comprising an antenna base band processing unit and a central base band processing unit. The radio network node further comprises a plurality of antenna active modules, wherein each active antenna module is connected to one of the antenna sub arrays, comprised in the multiple antenna array, and wherein each active antenna module is configured for pre-processing of signals over the respective antenna sub array, before any forwarding of signals is made to the central base band processing unit.

    Abstract: A radio frequency circuit is described, which comprises a first power amplifier comprising a first output, a second power amplifier comprising a second output, a third power amplifier comprising a third output, and a fourth power amplifier comprising a fourth output. The first power amplifier, the second power amplifier, the third power amplifier and the fourth power amplifier are configured to perform an amplification based on a radio communication signal to produce a first amplifier output signal, a second amplifier output signal, a third amplifier output signal, and a fourth amplifier output signal.
